Does anyone know if the baseball Tigers have been recruiting Marquise Doherty? It might be a tough sell, given their play last year, and the fact that Coach Jamison's contract wasn't extended, but I know playing both sports is important to him.

"things you would say if you were a beaker for a hundred Alec?"

basically we just need to round out this class is all, with a 4 star WR, and a few 4-5 star defensive players, this becomes the best recruiting class ever (on paper), and it still could happen.

It's all cool Mick. Truly though, 75% of your posts are only blasting Mizzou fans for not being fans and wondering if there are any other sites you can go to in order to get information because you can't find any here. Like I said to TBTB about Mizzou making him miserable, if coming here makes you miserable, you really just shouldn't do it. Again, it's just not worth it. Read or post where you find it more enjoyable.

When you do post things other than blasting this site or questioning people's fandom here, I do find them informative or thought provoking. The other schtick just gets old though. There are ACTUAL fans here who provide REAL information. Yes, there is light hearted stuff that goes on, particularly in the offseason. Yes, there are threads about the Royals or Cards. Just flip past those if they don't interest you and click on the threads that do interest you.

All is good and let's get ready to come out this year with a bunch of wins, get ranked and watch recruiting take off.

I truly haven't heard that we have recruited him for baseball. Historically speaking, TJ has recruited the STL area more than the KC area, and I think that's to Mizzou's detriment. I know that the Harrison kid (think that was his name) had been recruited to play both by Nebraska and had committed to going there before actually opting to sign professionally. Interestingly, 247 shows Doherty as a Nebraska lean as well. Wonder if they've recruited him for both sports.

On a side note Mick...what do you think it takes for TJ to get an extension? I suspect nothing will happen until after the season and it will depend on how the team does, so what kind of season will it take for him to be extended?

Seriously man. You gotta find something that makes you happy in life and go with it. If following Mizzou makes you miserable, you really should find something else. It's just not worth it.

I'm really thinking about it. I'm in my early 30's now and I just can't take the bad news anymore. I've been beaten down to a pulp with the changes in football, knowing that I'm watching the WWE makes me want to give up, every game is predetermined and it makes me sick that our boys will be playing for nothing. i have to focus on other things because todays society has destroyed the last thing I enjoyed in this life. When I have to look at a Toyota ad taking up the entire field in the middle of a play it's time to walk away.

No one predetermined Mizzou to win the east last year. If things were predetermined UGA or UF or UT would have won it. Not upstarts MU or SC.

30's - You didn't even have to suffer through the 80's like us old shites. By the time you were a teen it would have been mid to late 90's, just on the cusp of Mizzou turning things around. For your 20's and 30's, Mizzou has been nothing but a solid program. Learn to just enjoy it my friend. It's just a game at the end of the day.

And I suppose you directed this to me because I disagreed that CFB is the equivalent to the WWE? Or maybe because I said that the Mizzou football program is in such a better place than it was in the 80's?

Very well my friend.

no they did not, I don't even know how to take that, it sounds like sarcasm but makes no sense in that context either, really.

Sounds like he may not even be old enough to remember the 5th down, either way, after last year, assuming there was no "conspiracy" to prevent us from winning in Atlanta, we don't have that much to complain about. I would say the grassy nole of the Rock M is a bit far from the Ga Dome wouldn't you? We lost that game because we ran into a good team and our defense wasn't up to snuff, both the play and the coaching in my view. I know some don't like to hear that opinion, but honestly, I don't give a ratsass if you want to hear it or not.

Also it's not like the new rule changes affected only us or prevented us from having a great season.

Sounds like our friend needs to step back, chillax, and at all cost, avoid the silly SECrant board for a time, the predictions of an impending Mizzou doom season there are almost entirely the uniformed opinion of the average tunnel visioned SEC homer.

I think it's wise to respect the fact that different fans of the same teams will have varied and sometimes radically differing view points. Seeing those other view points is one of the things that makes life and sports interesting and prevents staleness and the laziness factor of "group think" from setting in. The day this place becomes a homogenized, all the same view, kool aid board, I have no more use for it. As long as we are all for Mizzou that's really all that matters, beyond that, we can have a myriad of opinions to offer, and with out it, there won't be anything to set this place apart or make it special from any fan board on the web.

If that makes me a "bad fan" who should "GTFO" then fine, that's exactly what I will do if that's what everyone wants. I just don't have any interest in such narrow minded views and opinions in people, and there are other fan boards that are already in that kind of lock step agreement and single minded attitude, if that's what I wanted I or anyone else, we could go to Rivals or tigerboard to get it.

Ok well that's my view of it, hope it doesn't offend anyone, but if it does, tough, people who are too easily offended and think they have some god given right not to be need to get a clue..

Bummer! I too thought he might swing our way although I can never fault a 3 star kid from taking a free education from Vandy. He'll never play in the national championship or the NFL but he's going to get a great education.

As far as being down on Mizzou. We are, arguably, the best we've ever been. We were a quarter away from the National Championship! I remember going to games in the eighties just to freeze and watch Oklahoma punch us in the mouth for 3 quarters. No one knew what happened in the 4th because everyone had left.
Think about the fact that we remember the 5th down play not because it kept us out of the national championship but because it could have kept Colorado out. We wouldn't even have finished at .500 if we won.
That's how bad it was.
Enjoy the glory days now. We're not far off from our best recruiting class ever.
Great time to be a Tiger!

"hey! you all need to shape up.. "(or I'll leave)

lol, message board diva's are the best aren't they?

Seriously, though, thanks!

Had you guys not seemed welcoming of varied opinions I wouldn't have bothered requesting access here, I already know I'm gonna piss people off that don't want to hear anything bad,, ever, about the Tigers. I know certain posters(no names) have been something of a "pest" about trolling and such, but even they add a certain amount of flavor to the ambiance here.

However if a Tiger fan can't feel good after last season, I'm thinking they might have other issues in their life that are threatening their well being rather than Mizzou, maybe we should reach out to them rather than shun them?

Looks like we offered Mekhi Brown, a monster WDE Bama commit.
LINK

Bookending this guy with Beckner would be huge. We are definitely the place to go for DEs.

We must not be feeling too confident on Anree Saint-Armor.

I don't think it says anything about the confidence in any player committing or not. We have a 4* QB who is committed and we still offer other QB's. It's all about covering your bases and offering guys who deserve it. We have no defensive commits for the 2015 class, so to not offer someone because you think theres a chance you may get someone else to commit is ludicrous. You dont wait on teenagers like that.

Fair enough but Saint armour seems more interested in OSU with an official set up there and none here. He also camped with them last month and took an unofficial to Michigan State and none here this summer.
