I think Whitfield has a load of upside. Reed, who knows. We certainly need his size.
Dinson I know nothing about, but I think we were hoping that Shannon would be able to pull some higher regarded Miami kids than he's shown so far. I know it's a tough task but I can't help but think Bielema, when he took the job, thought Randy, George, and Charlie would have been able to pull some kids from the grasps of Miami, FSU, Clemson, Bama and other SEC schools due to their success there in the past.
Other than Collins and Kirkland, we've pretty much taken under the radar guys or projects. Now I'd rather we take a raw athlete from S. Florida and build that pipeline than give a kid from Hoxie or LR Central a scholly just for the heck of it for a feel good story. Those filler schollys that Nutt gave out should be prime candidates for our walk on program.
So from the original staff we've got Pittman, Chaney, Lunney, Thomas, and Shannon left. We've traded Ohio for Texas/Louisiana and hopefully better coaching with Clay Jennings. We traded S. Florida for Alabama/Georgia and better coaching with Segrest. We traded bumblefrick for simplicity and aggressiveness with a good personality and recruiting ties to Florida with Robb Smith. We traded S. Florida for Louisiana with M. Smith.
We upgraded OL coaches in unbelievable ways from the Nevada guy. We upgraded TE/QB/offensive coaching and instate recruiting with Lunney from Horton. Shannon is a massive upgrade from anyone we've had coaching LB's in 25 years. Joel Thomas, I don't know. I'm still not convinced. He seems to be getting his arse beat on the recruiting trail. Fumbles became more of a problem as the season progressed, and they didn't rotate KM33 in nearly enough after he flashed what he could bring to the table.
Anyhow, hope we get some nice commits after this next camp. We need to keep putting the pieces together. The '15 class across the country doesn't seem as deep as the last couple. I rail on Gragg alot but I would like to see him in a Razorback uni along with KJ Hill, mostly Hill though. I expect Gragg to keep falling in the recruiting rankings and other teams to cool on him but I also expect him to wind up at Texas too.

Gawd it sucks that we lost KeVaughn Allen to Florida. This will be painful.

Yeah, he looked good in that final didn't he?
Really be pissed if for some reason Monk joined him down there (Florida is on his list).

Yeah, Florida is probably a little bit of a longshot right now. Don't see him teaming up with KeVaughn down there.
Speaking of KA, I always envision Bradley Beal, another kid that MA didn't get while at Mizzou.

Not surprising another LR/central AR kid leaves the state for a SEC school.
Mike needs to pick it up in recruiting and not whiff on McClure, Allen, Monk, Whitt, etc...

I was just wondering the other day what we're planning to do after Irwin-Hill leaves.
Saw where Jalin Barnett might visit with his grandparents this weekend too

Jalin's g-parents are key, must get them on campus and hopefully another time for official visit.

Question for anyone that follows recruiting: Please tell me that we are recruiting a host of LB'ers?
If so, any good ones?

Linebacker/safety Jordan Williams, 6-1, 195, 4.59 of Houston Jersey Village said he was hoping to visit Arkansas this week, but it looks unlikely. He said the Hogs will get one of his official visits.
He's being recruited by defensive backs coach Clay Jennings.
only comment regarding a LB
also, looks like its going to be a busy week for the Hogs staff and hostesses

Roy Williams offers Monk
The 6-4 rising junior from Bentonville (Ark.) High School cemented his status as one of the top prospects in the Class of 2016 at the Peach Jam last week.
UNC's head coach watched Monk this past week at the event in North Augusta, S.C., including a memorable 39-point performance that included five three-pointers.
Monk is ranked the No. 5 overall prospect in the class by Scout.com.

The blew up at the Peach Jam. Going to be tough to keep this kid

Que? I'm not there until next month, it's only a visit. Maybe a test run to see if I could live there. I'll let ya know, if SunHog would reply to my email.

Recruiting violations and investigation needs to cause this to not happen

Apparently Froholdt is going to take all 5 officials and is open to listening to other schools. This per an article on Rivals.
I got the information off 247 however so that wording may not be entirely correct.
