Exactly, Bert needs to work on getting him some 6'2" cornerbacks and 6'6" safeties if he is ever going to shut down the top passing attacks in the SEC.

kinda surprising. I looked for him on their roster last year or maybe earlier this year and he wasn't on it. Jalen Cobb wasn't either. I assumed they both flamed out.
Dick Davenport said Reed was legit back when he was coming out of HS but he wasn't serious about school as a fr/soph in HS and Juco was a must.

Curious what y'all are hearing, if anything, about the Jimmy Whitt kid out of Columbia. I believe he and his family was/are close to MA I think it was. 247 and their silly little predictions have swung Mizzou's direction as of late. But I don't care for 247 when it comes to basketball. Others are buying into it that Mizzou is in the hunt for him. I'm not sold yet. Have you guys cooled on him? If you're pursuing him, is he still an Arky lean from what you're hearing?

He is friends with Watkins son and the Watkins family, they played together when both were in Columbia.
Kansas, SMU, Arkansas, Mizzou is what I've heard, UNC, Florida, and Duke have been rumored to be in the discussion.
I do not believe he is leaning any particular direction at this time, he hit the big radar this summer and the blue bloods started showing interest.
I do not think Mizzou has as much going for them outside being the hometown team, I do not think Arkansas has much going for them outside of the Watkins relationship.

As long as it's not flipping kU. I know one of the first things KA did was to try to make instate recruiting a priority. Saying it and it translating to results is 2 different things. There are some really high quality guys coming out of Missouri in the next several years though.
2015: Whitt and Juwan Morgan who's blown up a bit as of late.
2016: Tatum (and think he has a team mate getting big offers)
2017: Jeremiah Tillmon (6'10" and getting looks at 15 years old)
As for Whitt, if we don't get him, hope you guys do. Hate to see the rich keep getting richer at Duke and UNC(which is the king of wasting talent).

I felt good about getting him until he blew up this summer.
He is a very good player, but I can't blame a kid going to a blue blood school who has an opportunity to do so, mainly because they feel it gives them a better path to the NBA.
We offered some kids out of Memphis today as well, one is a 2015 guard (who appears to be a good player) so I think Whitt ends up at a blue blood or possibly SMU because of Dale Brown.
KA shoring up Missouri would be good for your program, we've spent a good deal of effort in the state for Football and Basketball because Mizzou hasn't put up much of a fight for these guys.

And with results I might add. Y'all have done well pulling kids out of Missouri when they're there. Florida has had a direct pipeline to St. Louis as well, but haven't really seen them elsewhere in the state.
Probably right about Whitt.
