This is true, and I used to be in the "let's move Marshall to safety" camp. The fact that he didn't sniff the field as a safety last year when we were horrendous and thin at that position coupled with the fact that they haven't tinkered with switching him to defense this year despite his fumbling tells me that he might just not be a good fit for defense.
I'm holding out hope that he can get a grip on his fumbling (pun intended) and start getting meaningful offensive snaps.

Welp, we've given defensive recruits that are BOSS all the info they need to know playing time is up for grabs. Coaches need to go CAST their lines and catch us some big fish. They have the NETworks to get some "pig-time" players.

If I'm Cantrell/Gragg/O'Grady, I'm loving how we used Derby and Henry.
If I'm Hill, I'm cognizant of the fact that we need a speedy playmaker, pronto.
If I'm anyone playing a back seven position, I know I'm playing day one at Arkansas.
If I'm Blake Johnson, I'm practicing >40 yard kicks til I drop.

Davenport has a good article out with some comments from both commits and current recruits.
Can't link right now but its also on Tardville's Recruiting Board.
All comments were very positive with the commits say "we" a lot when talking about the Hogs.
Big time D-back or Linebackers that are looking for early playing time should give the Hogs a look. Also stud RB's should be drooling over our offensive system.

I don't know if Korliss would make a good safety or not, but neither do you based on your explanation.
So because a guy is placed into a need position on the offense as a TRUE FRESHMAN it's overwhelming evidence that he'd never make a good safety at all?
No need to really discuss it since it's a mute point now, it's just that you quoted me and then make a nonsensical arugment. Misinformation is one of my turnoffs.
Better athletes tend to go to the offensive side of the ball and not just on Petrino coached teams.
So I guess you think J Will and Alex Collins don't have what it takes to play in the secondary either since both fit your stupid argument perfectly?

Yea Dick Daenport put out an article with a mix of commits and prospects.
Seemed like they all had to say that the team has shown tremendous growth and that last season is far behind the program. They seemed stoked to get up and be apart of the rebuild.
Lots of kids are taking notice that this is a place to be. We're gonna be nasty real soon.
