This misconception about the timeline and info regarding Cam is unreal.

Cam didn't go straight from Florida to Auburn window licker. He went to Blinn for a year in between.

Not to mention he'd only seen the field for a handful of plays at Florida when Chizik was hired. Auburn knew he was going to be one of the best players ever though and already had a "deal" in the works.

Look they trusted Gene. He was an old friend. Why else do you make a hire of a Goat 1-10 coach at Iowa St. when you are Auburn?
Had Auburn hired another coach not already buddies with everyone - when the Cam sweepstakes was going down a new coach would have been wtf?

I am not at all talking bad about it. It was a great move. You got crystal. The floor dropped and you got your guy now.

Cecil Newton solicited MSU in November 2009, almost a full year after Chizik was hired. Cam left Florida almost a month after Chizik was hired.

I assumed that was known. If not - my bad. I wasn't around then. Everything I am talking about is based on the premise that you are aware Cam was paid. Also if you don't think anyone know about cam at Florida you are a lost cause.
Anyway - you guys have a pretty good handle on all this I can see. Good luck this season.
