Isn't that about the same as being Spurrier's OC and QB coach?

I get the impression that CK let the coordinators be coordinators. Bellotti seemed more of a micromanager than CK.

When Chip turned down the Tampa Bay job a year and half ago one of the reason cited was that no succession plan was in place. Chip handpicked Helfrich at that point. Chip is effusive in praise for Helfrich.

I think this transition is going to be similar to Harbaugh to Shaw. Helfrich is a protégé to Chip and the cupboards are so full that it's fail proof.

Ohio State will lose at least one of the following three games: Wisconsin, at Northwestern, at Michigan. There's a big difference between playing with no chance of a bowl or championship and playing with a target on their backs all season.

I think we could easily lose a game this season and I think Michigan is the best bet. Wisconsin always seems to give us trouble, but I still am more worried about Michigan. Either way, your "big difference between playing with no chance of a bowl" line could go either way. I'd say a team loses a good amount of motivation with no postseason available.

Also, what Meyer has done in his first two seasons since taking his first HC job...
took:
2-9 Bowling green to 8-3 before 9-3
5-6 Utah to 10-2 before 12-0.
7-5 Florida to 9-3 before 12-0.
7-5 Ohio State to 12-0 before ???

Guy always performs his first two seasons and tends to only improve in his second.

My friend is an ohio state fan, y'all are intolerable stat quoting arse holes with nothing to back it up except getting shite pushed in y SEC teams. If y'all make it to the NC it's a fluke, and about the same as the winner of the special Olympics rubbing in the 2nd place winner of the actual Olympics.

3 Ohio State
4 Notre Dame
5 Texas A&M
5 Georgia
7 Stanford
8 South Carolina
9 Florida
10 Florida State

So do you have both undefeated with SC winning in Columbia?

This is my nightmare situation.

I actually think the best chance for OSU to lose is at NW given how Meyer usually does really well at home and in rivalry games. His teams occasionally fall asleep and lose to someone they shouldn't, or at least let someone come really, really close. (2007 Auburn, 2008 Ole Miss, 2009 Arkansas, 2012 Purdue and at Indiana)

I'm still holding my breath on his offenses though since Mullen left.

The thought of us having a Natty AND a Heisman winner keeps you up at night doesn't it.

So you'll put these two in here but not Carolina? The homer is strong with this one

Not really , just because I think my team will be better than yours doesn't do that. Aren't I supposed to believe the best for my school. Especially since most experts have UGA winning at least the East.

If you notice I do not have Oregon in top 10, I think Stanford beats them for the PAC North, and USC bounces back and wins the South. That would easily put them in top 10. The Big 12, will be a little down and Mack brings the Horns back and wins the league. I think South Carolina, does not live up to the hype, by their own fans, and loses to UGA, UF, and Clemson. You lose those 3 and you won't be on top 10. I think UGA wins the league , but somewhere there us an off week and that keeps the dawgs out of the BCSNCG , in favor of unbeaten OSU and Louisville.

Yea, then I awake from dreamland and realize SC doesn't win anything substantial in the real world of college football.

Yeah, large scale generalizations do nothing but make you look like an arse.

I'd also point out that your childish, instantly bitter stance in replies would have nothing at all to do with you and your Buckeye friend not getting along.
Though, I'd venture to say that your buckeye friend is probably much like yourself as douchebags tend to surround themselves accordingly(see, smaller scale generalizations work better).

I think we'll put up a decent fight against Louisville, but George O'Leary will no doubt find a way to lose.

Bortles and Storm are gonna tear shite UP. I don't think we beat Louisville but I think we surprise this year. Based on the spring game though the defense has me worried.

I wouldn't sleep on that game at Cal either.

Its easy to pick BAMA as number 1 due to their very weak schedule, somewhere around 70th weakest in all of college football. That's saying alot for a team in the SECW.

BUT. LSU and TAM can deliver to you just one loss that will sink you off the chart with that lousy SOS.

Cal should have beaten them last year but they're going through a coaching change and a change in offensive philosophy. It'll take more than 2 games to get used to the new system. Crowd split will probably be close to 50/50 that game too. OSU fans come crawling out of the woodwork when they're good; I know this because I live in Ohio and deal with these insufferable pricks on almost a daily basis.
