Give UGA the edge because it is in Georgia
LSU should be a very good team tho
I think this will still be the line but I"m obviously hoping to see LSU walk away with a win

Clemson did a good job against Georgia's offense
You serious Clark? 35 points and over 500 yards of offense. And that was without our #1 WR and an injured Gurley.

Todd Gurley's 75 yard touchdown run and Sammy Watkins 77 yard touchdown pass should be ignored in analyses
What? Why?? Both were great individual plays that could/should have been defended better by the defenses. Give Gurley/Watkins credit where it's due though. I guess we should ignore Christian Jones' plays too since they were long.

Georgia fans, what expectations and concerns did the Clemson game raise?
I'd be more happy to discuss that with a rational poster, but from what I've seen from you in the past few months that would be futile.

the thread that won't die
Actually, it makes sense to revisit our old thoughts after we've seen our teams play decent competition.

+1, I have no idea who will win this Saturday, SC Vs Ga is a complete toss up to me at this point

Let's wait until we see both teams a little bit more and who is still healthy. Georgia looked good in their loss. LSU looked good in certain areas in their win. What will Georgia look like against South Carolina?

As long as Murray continues to play like he traditionally has against top 12 teams, I like LSU's chances.
ETA: playing UGA at home with their season on the line scares the shite outta me. How will Mettenberger react being back home in that atmosphere?

whether lsu can win this game will say a lot about this season
If they can pull this one off then their isn't a team on their schedule if they play up to their capability that they cant beat.
playing in the sec is big boy football and you have to prove it on the field every single game.
for lsu it might be the key for the season and for ga. it might be for survival.
either way it is just one of those games you get in the sec. That is why it is the best conference in football.
I know the way bama beat us in the nc was hard but to go through the sec season undefeated is a major accomplishment in itself.
Going to be a great game

LSU D pulls out the W IMO
but it'll be a scoring game
35-38 P&G

Before the season, I thought this would come down to LSU's D vs UGA's O and that LSU's O just needed to have a solid game. I didn't like our chances much if LSU still showed an inability to sustain drives and score in the red zone. It appears as though LSU is able to sustain drives because Mett is playing smarter. We still have a lot of work to do with our red zone offense, though. Although UGA's defense (from what I saw flipping back and forth from the LSU game) doesn't scare me.
Before last weekend, I would have said UGA by 7-10 points. Now, I think LSU will be able to get the W by 7-10 points...we just look more balanced than we have been since 2007.

Let's see now. You lost Malcolm Mitchell to a celebration, Clowney will take care of Murray. Looks like we crowd the box and close the deal. Your defense already sucks and there won't be much improvement there.
LSU 35
UGA 14
LSU 35
UGA 14

And im sure every Alabama hopes for this scenario, but lets get serious. Its going to be a tough, gritty game and will probably come down to the wire. If LSU wins that one, Bama fans are going to alo be sweating their Walmart Roh tahd shirts soaking wet. I would too if my O line and passing game looked like yalls.

I like our chances, but it will not be a blowout either way. Id say an even spread right now.
Posted on 9/4/13 at 8:45 am to Lsupimp
If LSU is in the top 10 at the time, then it is almost a statistical certainty UGA will lose.

before the season i said UGA. i've since changed my mind.
