Back to the SEC bylaw... Jalen Steele was released by Auburn and signed at Mississippi State.

@CecilHurt: Jackson Davis will announce his college choice at 2:45 pm CT on Friday. Alabama, Butler or Rice.

He is really good, IMO. Similar to William Lee, maybe more skilled not as athletic. But same body type

Some have said better shot blocker too. Nice to get him locked up before AAU play.

@EvanDaniels: Hall is a 6-8 PF with mobility and length. Nice early pick up for the Alabama staff. Betting they wanted it done before the eval period.

This blows the SEC bylaw rumor to bits. MIGHT also mean Davis is Butler bound.

Looks like Brannen no longer follows Davis or his parents on twitter so I think that all but guarantees where he's going.

The SEC rule (Bylaw 15.01) applies if they signed an institutional financial aid agreement, not the NLI. Whether they have done that, I do not know.

That's what Cecil Hurt said on their message board

Brannen let us down easy on that one though so it didn't hurt too bad.

@Ben_Fred 31m
#Vols signee CJ Turman opted out of meeting with new UT coach Donnie Tyndall. He will be released from LOI.

He's still gotta file the paperwork though according to the same guy.

Damn. He must be pissed about what happened to Cuonzo. Not sure I've heard a signee refuse to meet with the new coach before...

In the SEC you also sign a financial aid agreement, so Turman and Cofer are a no go unless Slive approves it.

All that is according to the Tennessee guys twitter.

I DM'd him this afternoon to go after Turman and Cofer. I wouldn't get your hopes up. You have to admire the kid's effort though.

He's pretty funny though. I hope they don't monitor his tweeting once he gets to campus.

I doubt they will. He's an intelligent kid and good for the program, regardless of talent.
