What is Alabama getting in Garret?

“He’s a high level athlete,” Fair told Scout.com in the past. “Big time athlete. He has really good length. He has good size at 6-7. On my team he plays the one, two, three and four. He handles it really well for a guy his size and passes it well. He needs to continue to work on his jumper.”

That's from his coach

Not sure about immediate impact. But man having a full roster just has a great feel.

Hopefully he can get some putbacks, help with the press, and just be high energy. Maybe this will be the year we finally go 94 feet both ways?

Charles Power and Trevor Hewett of BOL put their Davis crystal ball picks in for Alabama. Far from a commitment, but I'd say that's a good sign. We definitely have a better shot at him than I originally expected.

They also have a new article on him if anyone is interested...

Basically said Davis plays it close to the vest but Bama gained some momentum. Davis is visiting creighton and Arizona st the next two weekends.

Would not have expected that. If true, kudos to Grant.

As for the Alabama visit, Johnathan said, “We were surprised at how much the city had grown and how progressive people there were. And they also seemed to be interested in basketball, believe it or not, we were surprised by that. We already had a good feeling about the coaching staff and we have a relationship with those guys. But to be on campus, the fans and the folks down there, they’re making the decision very hard.”

Johnathan said Alabama coach Anthony Grant will also come back in on Tuesday to meet with Jackson at his school.

That sounds great for us, but as expected it sounds like we were playing from behind before the visit.

When he said he was impressed with how progressive we are, did he expect it to still be segregated here? I mean they live in Kentucky...life isn't that much different here and there.

Maybe he had a bad experience here when he was younger? The negative stereotypes Alabama gets is ridiculous.

In other news, the Tyndall hire at UT means we should know whether or not Turman is available soon.

#96 overall on Rivals, #78 on scout and a 4-star on ESPN.

That tweet is almost a year old...not sure how that got on my twitter feed.
