My guess is that we offered him a chance to walk-on and he thought he could convince the staff that he was worth the scholarship. Sucks to see it happen to a kid, but you can't just hand out scholarships to just any HS "stud".

Abdoulaye Gueye signed with Georgia Tech today. Obviously grades weren't the issue. He was widely considered the best available Bama prospect. I wonder why we never got involved. Last name, perhaps?

Both Missouri and UT are open now. I can't imagine the people that will be going after Gant now.

Gant is going to have a lot of big name suitors.

Just found out Gant had already moved to Missouri and just started going to a high school there about a week or so ago. Haith is a dick for not giving this kid any warning...

I didn't see all that much of Michigan last year, but from what I did see he looked solid. He had very solid numbers for the minutes he played. He's not a star or anything, but he'd be a welcomed addition on the glass and a massive upgrade from Carl. As soon as I saw UF's name mentioned though, I gave up on him.

Right-handed Cooper in that he's a wing who can contribute in the post. I don't think he'll shoot nearly as much from the outside as Cooper does though.
