Lynn named game 4 starter.

Shelby must be sooo pissed. His fellow Texan who didn't put in near the time in the minors, and got a college education is now the man in the spotlight.

I for one am totally fine with getting rid of Shelby this offseason. Guy was a lights out HS pitcher, but his fastball has lost some luster. He looks like he really labors during his starts, looks like it takes a lot of effort to throw that 93 mph fastball, breaking ball has never really developed. He'll be the first up to get paid. Trade him this off season.

I think his fastball lost some luster because he carried the load during the regular season. Matheny did a great job of protecting Wacha's arm, between moving up and down, rotation and pen. Having said that, one or more of the young arms probably have to go. Hopefully to get a shortstop with more than just a glove.

Alright, I bought tickets to Friday night's game 6. For the first time, I am not staying downtown, meaning I need to figure out where to park.

I know that there are two huge garages next to Busch, but I can't imagine how long it would take to get out after the game. Where would you guys recommend parking? I'd like to be within four or five blocks from the park as I will be with a very tired 5 yo.

Thanks!

Shamrock Pub is the best kept parking secret in town. It's a decently short walk. Family has known the owners since high school, so we always park there. It's always just 5 bucks, and they keep a good eye on the lot. It's halfway between the ballpark and Soulard, off of S Broadway.

Doubt they raise the price for playoff games, I think its kosher to go in and buy a beer there if you park there but not necessary at all.

And those bars in Soulard shuttle to the game if you want to not deal with it at all.

ETA. Didn't see the 5 year old part.. so forget the bars in Soulard.

Hopefully we'll get another celly pick from you, you're good luck so far.

I'll be honest with you, within 4 or 5 blocks I've always looked for street parking north of the stadium. Being the playoffs, that shite might go fast, but I've otherwise never had a problem finding parking at a meter and you don't have to feed it after I think it's 7. A few quarters beats the hell out of paying those parking prices (other than Sleepy's place). Hell, I've been known to just take the parking ticket and pay it. Still cheaper.

Wacha time. Got to win tonight because I have a wedding reception to go to tomorrow night and the wife will kill me if I skip it for the ballgame. Already pissed that I'm skipping the wedding for the Mizzou game.

Yeah, we tend to park a few blocks north of the stadium in a paid lot, it's $5 and they keep a pretty good eye on things. It's a little walk, which may not be optimal with a little one late, but like reedus said, there are plenty of cheap places within a few blocks that are safe.

I'm jealous that you'll get to go! Bring home the W!!
