Who wouldn't be a worse team if their best player, the QB, went down for the season? There isn't a team in the country that wouldn't struggle in that scenario.

Especially in our situation when we don't have a whole lot to work with after JFF.

As a side note, would you be terribly disappointed if I told you we didn't even have our entire offensive system implemented until the Cotton Bowl?

A&M would not have been as good for sure. But we had what many consider the best OL in the country. At least top 5. Our receivers and RBS are loaded. Our D played better than we thought.

It will take A&M a couple years past JFF to get the depth they need to be in the contenders of the SEC but they will. A&M is shutting OU down. Beating UT in most head to heads. Those DL that used to go to Texas, OU, Miami or Fla St. - are going to be playing for A&M. Yeas - guys that were the BEST player on D for National Championship contenders converging in College Station.

A&Ms not there yet. JFF clearly moved the progression though.

and good point regarding where has that money gotten A&M before. Nowhere. The old Ags were a different breed - the hated marketing, hated changing coaches, like RC cuz he was a good guy and could keep a top 25 team with top 5 talent.

Those days are over. The new leadership at A&M is all business and believe me - if A&M is putting half a billion in the new SEC stadium? If Sumlin leaves - no coach is safe. The spending we always wanted is happening. Remember Fran - say what you want about him sucking. He was doing great at Bama and they DID NOT want him gone. That was before we have started spending.

A&M is here now. and in 2-4 will be deep. and if Sumlin goes to NFL - we wil go get the best in the nation.

What would it take for you guys to stop with the JFF non-sense?

Best in the nation? When you have done that in the last 30-40 years? How can you project that?

Not talking about last year. I am talking about the upcoming season..going by whats coming back.

Not even close.

I give A&M full credit for coming into TTown and winning. Hell of a job. Some corndog posted how we got shut down in the game and I say not so fast.

The Ags jump out 21 and had to hold on at the end.

SOMEHOW we managed to catch up lol.

I've never used the jimmies thing. I'm not even certain I understand what jimmies are. I've certainly never been rustled.

I do lol a lot though.

Ya know, the OP is right. We got lucky. Johnny sucks, and we have no QBs on campus behind him that are out of diapers. Our OL and DL would be lucky to start for Prairie View. Sumlin is a rookie coach who cannot even begin to develop a game plan as well as say...Hugh Freeze or Dan Mullen...much less Lord Saben.

I think Alabama will hurt Johnny so bad, he ought to just stay in the locker room this year.

After all, we are so lucky just to be in the SEC. We shouldn't even sit in the back of the bus, we should be in the luggage rack.

I'm even jealous of Missouri.

So, frick y'all. If you don't take us seriously this year, we're gonna hang 50 on ya. You think you would have learned last year, but I guess some of you are just slow.

STRICTLY a one trick pony. Let Manziel tweak an ankle and they're a three loss team, whereas Alabama could survive the same to Mc Carron and get by playing defense and running the football.
Johnny Manziel is special no doubt about that. But the Ags are like Auburn a few years back..one man team.

I hate to agree with you, but you are correct this time.

Tennessee better just be fricking glad you don't play us this year.

The rest of y'all better pray Johnny gets hurt. And you better hope to God Sumlin was lying last August when he said Matt Davis was the most athletic QB on campus.

So...you're saying the same team that lost 3 games last year is a one trick pony if they only loose 3 this year without Johnny?
