All this 3rd in the West talk. 2nd in the West is #1 in the Nation.

#3 in the West could be #3 in the Nation.
It was #5 this year.
Not bad for year 1.
The SEC is a proud conference. Why fellow members want to down downplay what 3rd in the west means is beyond me. It is harder to finish 3rd in the west than win most any conferences. At least that was the talk before A&M took 3rd.
Pigs - how many years in sec have you finished #5 or better in the nation?

I didnt just decide to start shite. They are Texas Tech of the SEC. They are good. Real good some times. They will derail your season sometimes. and spoke the top 5 in nation once in 2 decades. But nobody cares regardless.

The SEC is so good because nobody likes settling for third in their division even if it is #5 in the country. But congrats on your 3rd place finish. Did you get a trophy for that?
