5* Center Caleb Swanigan will be visiting on October 10th as well now. That means 4 5* guys will all be here that weekend. Rumor I saw is we take 5 to 6 this class. Apparently Biedschied, Clark, and Bello aren't getting along with the new staff well and could be gone after the season, although I heard Clark has turned it around recently and will be starting, this was from Matter.

Biedschied and Bello have already transferred once. Gotta think they wouldn't be excited about doing it again. I can see them getting processed.

If Biedschied and Bello go, they'll try to go to Hungary or Belgium or wherever. Not another college.

Where did Dave Matter report they are not happy at?

It was posted on PM that he said it at the STL Tiger club this week.

Hearing rumblings Isaiah Briscoe and Antonio Blakeney could end up a package. Kentucky and Missouri are possibilities if it happens.

5* Jaquan Lyle, a class of 2014 SG from Huntington Prep was denied entry to Oregon and could be looking around. Played for Fulford and would be immediately eligible.

Jaquan Lyle's status for this season is up in the air.
The five-star guard from Evansville, Ind., is no longer on the roster at Oregon, at least as things stand now.
He has gone through the NCAA clearinghouse but was not admitted to Oregon, according to multiple sources. However, there is no official word from Oregon.
According to multiple sources, Lyle did need to finish a summer course to complete his admission requirements to Oregon. A final determination on that summer course has not yet occurred, sources said.
It's worth noting, Oregon is on the quarter system, not semesters.
Unclear at this point is whether Lyle's admission to Oregon ultimately will be denied or just delayed.
Oregon also recently denied admission to forward Ray Kasongo, who ended up enrolling at the College of Southern Idaho, a junior college.
Lyle was removed from the Oregon roster on Tuesday.
Prior to heading to Oregon, Lyle had an Indiana offer, visited IU and had family who wanted to see him in Bloomington.
Lyle originally committed to Louisville, decommitted from there then committed to Oregon on March 19.
Lyle played his first three seasons of high school basketball at Evansville Bosse then finished at Huntington Prep in West Virginia.
Lyle played on the Spiece Indy Heat AAU team that included James Blackmon Jr. and often stayed with the Blackmons in Fort Wayne for events there.
Lyle's Huntington Prep coach Rob Fulford is now an assistant coach at Missouri, so it stands to reason the Tigers could be a factor if Lyle ends up not at Oregon in the end.

I also just noticed, for what it's worth, that people on 247 and starting to crystal ball Thon Maker to Mizzou. That would be nice!

Yeah, I'm just not sure what to think. We get involved with some of the big names but then we get commits from Puryear and VanLeer. Those 2 might turn out to be just what we need but I'm just not getting worked up for guys like Maker, Bryant, Briscoe, Blakeney and others.

So he could play at Mizzou because of the semester system (assuming his summer class went well) but he can't get into Oregon because they use the quarter system and it's too far into the quarter? Am I understanding that right?
Posted on 9/19/14 at 11:22 am to reedus23
From what I've read, it sounds like Oregon requires a class for admission that Mizzou does not. He's a qualifier per the NCAA, but did not meet Oregons requirements to get in.

It is too late to enroll at Mizzou but he could probably enroll for 2nd semester and start playing in December.

I thought the briscoe kid was coming on oct 10, but he came this weekend and tweeted "impressive mizzou."

Briscoe had an in home with Anderson this weekend.

alright that makes more sense, thanks for clearing that up for me.

As long as Kentucky doesn't offer I think we get Briscoe, but if they offer he will probably commit on the spot as he and his father have gushed over UK in several publications. I believe he's visiting them on October 17th. Newman is UK's top choice so we should hope they land him as it gives us a chance with Briscoe.

Bryant had his official to Syracuse this weekend and it appears he did not commit. That is a good sign for us. Just hope UK doesn't offer Briscoe and we might be able to take both from the Cuse. I think Kapita is ours if they want or have room. A top 50 player as a back up plan is a nice problem to have right now.
