Juwan Morgan eliminated Mizzou today, down to Indiana and Vanderbilt. 0 for 3 in instate 4*. That's what makes the Vanleer and Puryear commitments so much harder to swallow, we're not even getting the top players in our own state.

On a positive note, there are rumors that Thon Maker is thinking about reclassifying to 2015 since he will graduate Canadian HS this year. The rumor is that Mizzou has the inside track right now with Fulford on the staff. The problem with that is what if we take Bryant, who is a great player and I very much want, and in the late period Maker reclassifys? We are out of scholarships now due to these early commitments. I'm sure there's a plan if this happens, but it is a problem.

From one of the most accurate basketball insiders on PM, we have been stung by several out of state kids this class who want some "things" and we had to end up backing out of recruiting them. He didn't say what those "things" were, but you can read between the lines here.

Looks like we are trying to jump in on the Isaiah Briscoe sweepstakes and fulford is back at Huntington seeing some players.

Isaiah Briscoe, 5* PG #6 player in the country had an in home with Fuller and Anderson today. Will visit on October 10th. From his father the visit went great and they have high interest in Mizzou.

Not likely to happen but what would Mizzou do if both Bryant and Briscoe decided to commit

Someone would probably decide to transfer out really quickly.

Antonio Blakeney decommitted from Louisville today. PM saying they are hearing Mizzou is very much a player now that he's back on the market.

Blakeney was told he should go to a Nike school so he decommitted from Louisville. We are still in it.

This is insane, IMO. Is a kid not getting a Nike shoe deal in the NBA cuz he goes to Louisville? Insanity.

IDK to be honest. You hear stories. Louisville is an Adidas school. F it, I say we go all in on this BB stuff and get us a ship. Worry about the consequences later. Ala kU, UConn, etc style.

Blakeney, Briscoe, Bryant, and Kapita would be a nice class. Make room coach...

Apparently there are 1-2 players who plan to go pro after the season due to money concerns with their families. Even if they are second round or overseas players. This was posted by a BB insider who is typically correct on another board. This would also explain why were recruiting like we will have 4 to 5 spots in this class.

But still. It seems weird.

Who could even be remotely close to ready to go anywhere? I honestly can't think of anyone. Hell, I can't think of any that are even ready to go overseas necessarily. JW3? Bello, who has done nothing in his collegiate career YET? One and done with Wright or Teki? Gant? Seriously wouldn't even know who I would think is most likely.

Bello is in a position to graduate after this year at Mizzou, allowing him to be a 5th year transfer guy and go somewhere to play immediately. It doesn't sound like he's expected to contribute much this season unfortunately, but you never know. The other person wouldn't be J3 from what I've seen, but maybe Biedschied? I'm purely guessing there, because I agree with you, who else could it be? PM says if we could somehow land all 3 of Bryant/Briscoe/Blakeney we'd take all 3 and make it work, but it really brings these early offers of Vanleer and Puryear even more into question considering who we're getting visits from now.

And you can't pull in-state offers. Cannot.

Just looked at the roster again. We need bigs...bad. Guess we could move guys around and play without one, but the only true 5 on the roster next year (2015-2016) is Rosburg.

I agree...cannot pull in state offers.

As an aside that means nothing...seen JMac and Tatum tweeting back and forth a bit.
