I think right now we would have three available. We currently have one available, which could go to Gill-Caesar if he re-classifies. Then Post and Shamburger are both seniors, freeing up 2 more.

If we have 3 scholarships available, I don't know that anyone gets processed. If we only have 2 available (Gill-Caesar joins the 2014 class), then yeah, I wouldn't be surprised either.

That would be a pure dick move to someone whose going to be a senior. Did Haith do that to any seniors to be? Thought most of them were younger where they still had time to transfer and play. Guess Dixon, but I don't think that was Haith's doing but more Dixon's doings.

Montaque Gill-Caesar announcing Monday per PM. Wanted to wait to announce his decision on 2014 vs 2015 until his family could all be there to watch. All sources pointing to reclassifying to 2014 and committing to Mizzou. Would be a huge pickup.

I would presume so too. Doesn't make sense to have a big "ceremony" just to say you're staying in prep school.

No blue bloods for that matter. Hopefully, from the tenor of his post, he's cutting down/shutting down his recruitment instead of enlarging it.

Kentucky was trying to get him in for a visit but as a 2015 recruit. There was a story on a UK blog last week about it and they predicted he'd go to Mizzou. He was rated a 5* before the rerankings a few months ago.

Saw that about UK. He would be an absolute home run for Mizzou. And think about what a boost for recruiting it signifies. I mean MSU and Izzo tried like hell to get him to re-classify to 2014 and couldn't convince him.

Video Interview of Whitt

Highlights:

Cut his list to teams that impressed him with academics, staff, style of play. Said all were similar. Defense and fast paced.

Grew up Mizzou fan.

What he likes about Mizzou: New staff. New atmosphere. Part of something new. Close to home is cool.

Arky familiar with players. Going to Arky 15th/16th.

Decision before season starts.

Wants to be PG.

Heard a *rumor* this morning that he signed a financial agreement with Mizzou. Anyone else hearing anything like that?

That's absolutely huge!!!! Unbelievably excited about this commit not just because of Gill-Caesar's talent but what it may open up down the road.

Awesome get and welcome to the Zou!!!!

Kim Anderson has put the final touch on his first Missouri basketball recruiting class. And it’s a big one......

hmmm, so far seems to be working out.. wasn't the big concern some people had about KA, recruiting?

seems like these players all cast to fit his system too, jesus what were we thinking hiring this guy!

Fuller and Fulford were great and key hires. Pretending with 20/20 hindsight that we knew that Fuller would stay and we'd get Fulford (and thus GC) is fun, but it isn't real.

Having said that, KA has done a bang up job here. His recruiting class in less than ideal conditions has rivaled anything Haith even planned to do. I'm pleasantly surprised. And we're still in for a rocky first year record-wise.
