Not a whole lot on the kid (not rated) but he does have offers from Ms. State, LSU, Louisville, and others.

He does. Apparently he has an aunt in Atlanta, so Bama and UGA could be possible landing spots for him.

General consensus is that he's a Bama lean at the moment but is not particularly close to making a decision.

Sims couldn't commit to Bama at the moment if he wanted and that is the holdup. He's not getting an offer from LSU. UGA would be a good spot for him if Bama never follows up with a good offer.
Not saying the Johnson kid doesn't have an offer from LSU but he's never been mentioned by any LSU source. We have way bigger fish in the pond and are in great shape for all of them. So hard to know which offers claimed are real and which aren't. Either way congrats on the pickup.

It sounds like Johnson actually already had an offer, just couldn't commit until he came to camp and performed. FWIW, we hadn't heard a peep about him either. I don't know anyone who knew who he was and he apparently did have a UGA offer. So it's possible he did/does have an LSU offer.
