It's hard to trump the SEC card. Especially now when he can do it in his home state.

Florida will be tough for sure, but I think Sumlin gets Jamal in the end.

From our 247 site
quote:

As expected, his visit to Florida went well. The Gators should be considered a real threat to land his commitment with two things working in Florida's favor – his godfather is Gators assistant coach Joker Phillips and Adams is a priority at safety for Will Muschamp.
GatorBait.net – our Florida site – said they're hearing Adams' recruitment is going to come down to a battle between Florida and Texas A&M. That goes against what we heard in the wake of Adams' visit to Texas camp, which had the Longhorns likely at the top of Adams' list behind the scenes with Florida likely the No. 2 choice over Texas A&M.
According to a few prospects around the Metroplex the 6-foot, 199-pound U.S. Army All-American has made it clear that he really likes all three schools, but he's having a hard time figuring out which one he really wants to attend. The ones mentioned the most among Adams' peers over the weekend were Texas and Florida, with the Gators having the edge.
There was a lot of speculation going around the at Camp of Conquerors event in Cedar Hill on Saturday that Adams may commit to the Gators over the weekend. That didn’t happen, but Florida is trying to sell Adams as a Matt Elam-type strong safety and apparently he likes that idea.
Based on what we're hearing we believe Texas has every reason to feel good about Adams. The June 2 visit was one that left a strong impression on Adams, and the only way the Longhorns are going to be on the outside looking in is if things were to really go south on the field this fall.
Expect this one to be fluid as we enter the fall in terms of which school may or may not have the edge. What should hold to form are those three schools being the three programs seriously in the mix.

With how his recruitment is playing out, wouldn't be a surprise to me if he did something like that

Wait till football season.

Sumlin will fly in the Swaggercopter around Texas and complete his class with just about anybody he chooses.

Ask the longwhorns and land thieves!

Now I know that wasn't written by Taylor Hamm. When did the A&M 24/7 site get a decent writer?

He is the real deal.. His coach was my old coach. He played for TCU and in the NFL. There is a reason Hebron has been a force over the last few years, and it is because of how they develop the players.

If Joker is really is Godfather, it should have Ben over already. A&M's 2013 will be very attractive.

He is a highly touted kid from TX. Not like the instate teams are just going to let him walk.

At this point, its sounding like Florida is certainly the team to beat. I won't count out Sumlin, but I am not optimistic.

I hope we get him though because Jamal Adams is the real deal. I would take him over any DB in Texas this year, by quite a bit actually.

According to him, he measures precisely 72".

We're pretty sure he means that's how tall he is.
