Does this mean the hurry up offense will be even faster because there is a extra ref out there helping spot the ball?

No. It means 8 refs have to be in agreement that Bama never holds

They actually did this experiment at the Auburn A-day game. Said it worked great.

If the refs cant handle the speed of the game, then that should tell you something about if the players can handle it or not.
This is gonna be like adding a 3 pointer to basketball.
Looks like Bama will have to start shooting three's.

Some teams handle it just fine.
