Very true, but I think Hitler was really just a genius who realized its potential as a means to an end. I doubt he really believed in most of the ideas/stories.

I'm sure a lot of the high up terrorist leaders use Islam in the same way

Okay. It's wrong, but none of us were alive then.

Muslims were chopping peoples heads off with machetes 1000 years ago, and they'll probably still be doing the same thing in another 1000 years.

I'm still waiting to hear an example of a group whose violence is as widespread and commonplace as that of Islamic fundamentalists.
they have nothing. Hindus, Buddhists and Christians are the real peaceful religions.

He used Christianity as the basis for his Aryan ideals and praised the religion publicly, but there's some research that says privately he was non-practicing. Which is why I didn't list him myself.

He was raised in the Catholic Church, but supposedly was an atheist.

Why would all Muslims get the blame for something a few radicals do in the name of Islam yet christians gets no blame when radicals do shite in the name of Christianity? If I remember correctly every ship had missionaries and they were going to spread the good word to the barbarians in the new world. It has been a long time so forgive me if I am incorrect, but it was the missions that handed out some of the smallpox blankets.

I am not for or against any religion. I believe all people should be free to believe what they want. I do have a problem with the radicals who use the idea of religion to kill people. I am simply pointing out that Christians have a terrible history and people will use the idea of Christianity for evil if possible. Love and compassion for your fellow human.

Ya I'm dumb which is why I said in an earlier post I believe He used Christianity as a means to an end.

You just want your religion to be better than the other. What is the verse? Judge not something? Does that not apply to Muslims?

The reality is crazy gonna crazy. Unfortunately a lot of crazy use religion of all kinds as the vehicle for justifying that crazy. David Koresh and the Branch Davidians (a Seventh-Day Adventist off-shoot) is probably a solid example of that. The KKK another.

People will warp religion into an excuse to use violence pretty regularly.

Hindus

Bringing this up reminded of NLFT in India. They're a terrorist organization in India that uses the Baptist church as their vehicle for killing Hindus who won't convert to Christianity. They also use rape as a mean of persuasion for conversion. Really blasphemous stuff, but further proves my point that people doing things in the name of religion are full of cray cray.

People will kill over beliefs, but very rarely will they kill over ideas. Combine that with a society that has failed to advance in any significant manner over the course of the last several hundred years and you have Middle Eastern Islam.

Mostly Christian nations gave rise to what we call Western Civilization.

Muslims are ok with me, but let them behead each other over their differences in their own shithole backwards nations. Get the frick out of the West.

ETA: I also think we should GTFO of their countries, too.

I'm not trying to defend Christianity for things that happened in the past, but by and large, Christianity has evolved over time. Sure, the KKK burns a cross in someone's yard, or they lynch someone. Somebody blows up an abortion clinic. Those things do happen, and they are horrible.

However, those acts of violence are less commonplace, and they are random, and uncoordinated. Radical Islamic terrorism is a systemic problem.

Maybe it's not the faith or religion that's the problem. Maybe it's self-serving, sadistic individuals that see opportunities and have no problem sending other people to die to get what they want. I don't know much about the September 11th hijackers, but I can't help but think that some of them might have preferred to just stay home with their families and live in peace. I've also never lived in a 3rd world shithole though. They might not have had anything to live for, or future to look forward to. If you have nothing, you'll listen to anyone that says they'll take care of you and your family.

I'm done.

It's not. Most people who practice Islam are just as peaceful as any Christian.

There's a Mosque within walking distance of where I live. There are Muslims that live in same building that I do, and they are just as peaceful as anyone else around here.

This I can agree with wholeheartedly. That inhuman piece of scum in the video can carry his worthless arse back to the East African shite hole he came from if he wants to behead people. But he won't do that, because he and his ilk want to live in our countries and get the benefits of living in our countries while maintaining their fricked up sense of what is and is not acceptable behavior.
