Right now, its set up so that the Thanksgiving game is in Austin every season, and currently TCU and Tech are taking turns having the privilege to partake. If Arkansas wanted to join and play in Austin on TG every 3 years with no return game, I'm sure they could run it up the flagpole and possibly make it happen for you.

It would be awesome if we could land Texas as our Thanksgiving game instead of Mizzou but unfortunately they are scared of playing anyone with a pulse on that weekend these days.

I actually think they'd jump on a good team. There just aren't any available that time of year. It's a hard week to schedule out of conference.

I don't think they'd consider Arky because they are still "punishing" you for leaving the SWC. Just as they are "punishing" A&M. The funny thing is that their fans have finally started figuring out that they are "punishing" so many old rivals that they have no more games of interest (UH and Nebraska are also in timeout and Rice is iffy). It's almost like they are starting to understand that college football is a game of rivalries or something

They'll finally figure it out at some point in time, you would think. No matter how much money you are swimming in, it's just not that fun to sit through season after season of home games that consist of Rice, SMU, Iowa St, Texas Tech, Baylor and TCU.

I would probably save my money and just stay home if that was our home schedule every year.

Very surprised that LSU would agree/want another forced rivalry

Now this choch bag has no idea what the frick he's talking about . Hey pal, how about reading a little before just jumping in and posting absolute nonsense. We've been playing A&M since the 20's, its always been a rivalry, it was just put on hold.

It's yet another indictment of the Arkansas Razorback football program.
Yet we beat aTm 75% of the times play. Odd.

Which contributes significantly to the indictment.

Meh, losing LSU as the final game of the season isn't really a loss at all. We will still play LSU every year, and every year the boot will still be on the line. I'll admit I liked the Friday tradition, but it was a forced rivalry to begin with. I don't think anyone ever fully expected it to hold up, although the fantastic games between the two schools the last decade have really helped to make it a respectable rivalry. That being said, I could never hate LSU as much as I hate Texas. Not even remotely close. I'd much rather watch the Hogs kick dirt in the shorthorns' eyes than win a trophy for beating LSU.

I really hope not. I want to make a game at Kyle Field at some point, and Thanksgiving weekend will make it very tough. I want to keep Arky there. I want to see all SEC stadiums, but Kyle much, much more than Razorback Stadium

From a personal standpoint, I'm happy about the game getting moved because I haven't been to an LSU game in over 12 years. My wife's family does a big Thanksgiving every year and I can never sneak away to go to the game. I will finally get to see the LSU game live again which will be good.

I can understand why some would be upset but selfishly I would rather us play some rent-a-win game, like Texas, on the weekends that I can't make it to games. It would be nice if they could accommodate my schedule a little more.

It's too bad you don't have that option.

This is a strange post. It's like saying, "I don't care that Beth and I broke up; she's not even the hottest chick whose dumped me."

Oh just admit that you would like to beat Texas in to the dirt more than you would LSU. Don't be ashamed.

Considering it was Arkansas that dumped Texas, your post makes little sense.
