This has to be a first for State. Being higher ranked in offense rather than defense.

South Carolina needs to up their ypp offensively this coming season, I know that, if they want to compete for a Championship. Their defense should be fine again, Top Five again, but we need more offensive production this coming season if we want to achieve great things.

We have the tools to do it, we just need to get'er done.

When you add both numbers together this where teams ranked with "O" & "D" combined... I don't know if it tells you anything tho, other than LSU finished much higher than the combined number suggests they would...

1. Alabama-3...(7-1)
2. Georgia-9...(7-1)
3. Texas A&M-9...(6-2)
4. Florida-11...(7-1)
5. S. Carolina-12...(6-2)
6. Vanderbilt-13...(5-3)
7. Miss. State-15...(4-4)
7. Ole Miss-15...(3-5)
9. LSU-16.........(6-2)
10. Arkansas-18...(2-6)
10. Tennessee-18...(1-7)
12. Missouri-21...(2-6)
14. Kentucky-25...(0-8)
14. Auburn-26.....(0-8)

Usually we wouldn't have problems moving the ball until we turned it over. Pretty sure we're last in turnover margin.

I'd be more worried about your defense.

2011 = 4.17 ypp
2012 = 4.65 ypp

Your offense actually is trending up.
2011 = 5.58 ypp
2012 = 5.72 ypp

Another way to look at this would be the differential in offense and defense.

Team Differential
Alabama 2.56
GA 1.14
TAMU 1.09
Florida 0.93
USC 0.60
LSU 0.13
Vandy -
Mstate (0.15)
OM (0.23)
Arkansas (0.42)
UT (0.98)
Missouri (1.22)
Kentucky (1.80)
Aub (2.31)

If you include all games Georgia led the nation in yards per play on offense
quote:

1 Georgia 6.9
Texas A&M 6.8
Baylor 6.8
Oklahoma St 6.8
LA Lafayette 6.7
Utah State 6.7
Alabama 6.6
Florida St 6.6
LA Tech 6.5
Texas Tech 6.5
