Me too, but this is probably for the best. That lead draw has to be the most brutal play in the game (brain injury wise).

The NFL is pouring huge dollars into research for a better helmet. But when you have guys 250 that can run like deer...I'm sure there is a math formula for this but that's just a whole lot of impact.

If he goes to UA I'm going to personally kick Saban in the nutz. But I'm pretty optimistic. The NFL pedigree of Cameron might be a bigger boon than we realize.

Good does not equal consistent, which was the point I was trying to make. The guys I listed were good players, just didn't have very consistent careers.

Toefield was ok, missed a year and didn't start all of his games as a senior, so i'm not sold.

He didn't start all of his games in his final season because he broke his fricking arm, dumbass. To say nothing of the fact that he left as a junior.

Hester was the most reliable, consistent player I've ever watched play at LSU.

Consistent doesn't mean you have to start for all 4 years.

Hill didn't start last year. Yeldon wasn't the starter last year.

You also now there is much more that goes into the term "consistent"? Not just rushing yards and TD's. Hester was the best pass blocking RB LSU has had on a long time.

He also was a no-brainer type back when it came to 3rd and 1 or 4th and inches.

Your use of the word "consistent" is not consistent with actual consistency at the RB position.

Is this even a possibility at this point? I haven't checked out what's going on with him in a while TBH.

He wishy-washy?

I don't think I ever saw Jacob go backward...he probably did, but I don't remember it.

Consistent means arbitrary standard that has nothing to do with anything that matters like talent and production.

Joe Adai, not consistent. Ridley not consistent. Chuck el Truck not consistent.

Nah, but kids are kids. I don't believe anything till LOI is signed. Nothing against Fournette but I've seen too much to be comfortable till that letter is signed in January or February.

The skepticism is not far fetched. We lost way too much in the draft and even though we have everyone on offense back (hill pending) we'll still struggle 4-8 or 5-7

LSU will never have a running back with Heisman-type numbers as long as Miles is in BR. He loves the running back by committee approach. It's often frustrating to fans when he pulls a back who is hot (Charles Scott at UK in 2007), but it is what it is. He seems to have certain packages of plays for certain backs. The bad thing about that is that when a particular back is in the game, you can pretty much guess what the play will be.

Sure LSU will. Those numbers will just be like Ingram's and LSU will have to rely on media pub and a dearth of other candidates like Ingram did.

The play calling has been very predictable. Can't wait till TCU game to see if there is a change (and a change for the better).

LSU's running game in general has been one of the most consistent in all of football.

It doesn't make sense to say that the RB's weren't consistent when you look at the overall production of the running game over the years.

And Hester was a fricking MAN.

Proof of said manliness. First play.

Perilloux was so damn good.

And, again, Miles let OC have full reign till 2008 when we were throwing pics like it was the latest and greatest invention. In hindsight he should have gotten rid of Crowton a year earlier but with the virtue of loyalty you have to take the bad with the good. Krag was brought in but his illness wasn't forseen. So we had an OL guy calling plays. There is no reason to think (and I have no doubt of this) that Coach Cameron will have full control of O, from play calling to personnel to philosophy. I don't know how this will pan out but the 'as long as Miles is in BR our O will suck' conspiratorialist segment on TR are wrong, imo.
