From this new study it pretty much says that we're not any fatter here, just more honest.

quote:

New data from the University of Alabama at Birmingham shows Missouri has the highest obesity rate, and puts Mississippi fourth on the list. Minnesota placed second on the list, with Louisiana coming in third.

quote:

The UAB researcher is publishing the findings in the medical journal Obesity. The research indicates Southerners are not more obese than Midwesterners, but just more honest.

This isn't surprising news to anyone that has spent any time in either region. The problem of obesity is not limited to any one region in this country.

Can't be right. Must be a bunch of fatties and meth heads, but no fat meth heads (oxymoron).

Either way, not a lot going for Missouri, aside from the lovely semotruman, of course.

At least their big cities are safe and low on crime, like Saint Louis

Inner city St. Louis is something all cities should strive to be like.

Missouri is actually in better position than all but a couple of SEC states, all things considered (economy, crime rates, quality of life, etc)

Id be surprised if it beats Texas on any of those categories. Including post-Katrina Houston.
