Now behind 10 SEC teams.

Vanderbilt (1), LSU (4), Mississippi St. (10), South Carolina (12), Ole Miss (20), Florida (23), Auburn (30), Kentucky (31), Alabama (38), Texas A&M (46).

They are a very good team and their pitching may get them to Omaha again, but their weak schedule is going to cost them a host bid.

Alabama could be swept by Vanderbilt and still rise in the RPI rankings.

Well said. Wouldn't be surprised to see them in Omaha but they aren't hosting

I thought they still had a shot at hosting if they wound up at 20-9 or 19-10, with an RPI in the 30s. That's looking increasingly unlikely.

They may need to win these last 2, and go deep in the SEC tournament to have a prayer and I don't know if that will even be enough.

Yea we're not hosting, but we do have a very good chance to piss off a regional host that gets us.

I'm starting to get worried about our starting pitching actually. Stanek is one of the nation's best and Fant has been great all year. Astin has been wearing down and hasn't been going far into games, luckily our bullpen is the deepest I've seen for any team this year so that's good.

Don't know what to do about Astin though, he's dirty but the pitch counts seem to be getting to him.

But they lead the nation in ERA and series wins

A series win against Arky plus a win in Hoover and I think we sneak into the tournament.

A sweep and two wins gets us in.

They just boast about winning all these series wins. I was being facetious.

Guaranteed, but I think we can sneak in with less. Really pisses me off that 1 more win against Mizzou and 1 against Bama and we are in great position. No reason to lose a series against Mizzou.

Did Stanek pitch last nite against the aubbies? That was a tough loss with all the playoff ramifications on the line.

This. I feel bad for however gets the Hogs in a regional. The have a great pitching staff and could put a damper on some poor teams chances.

Agreed, but you may need more than one win in Hoover.
