JUCO S Brandon King
RB Peyton Barber

Greyshirts:

Who's at risk? Earnest Robinson, Jason Smith, Tony Stevens? Those are the ones I feel like I've heard about.

I have NOT heard Jason Smith...this would be the first I have heard that. I would find that hard to believe. He is a really bright kid...articulate.

The names I have heard most have been E-Rob, Elijah Daniel, and Makenro.

If JJ is really 226, he may have a shot in August.

Thanks E for being the only one who remembers me bringing up JSmith qualifying

It isn't a reflection of Jason Smith's ability to articulate a sentence, it is a reflection of him going to a private school in Mobile who requires more than being literate to pass a class.

I heard this information back in March or so that JSmith's grades were a concern and that it likely would depend more on his ability to get a higher score on the ACT to affect the GPA/ACT slider. From how I interpreted it, he would have to od work in the classroom this semester and ensure he had a decent ACT score (should give you a hint of where he was at)

Again, this information is a few months old but I haven't heard any news about him qualifying yet or him being on track to be eligible.

You mean the names you have read on message boards? This Jason Smith information is really not something I'd expect to see on any message board unless they are repeating me. Kids qualifying is typically not an issue brought up unless they are a lost cause

Fact is that shady things happen to get kids qualified. Counselors teachers and coaches know that these kid's ticket to something better is this scholarship and changing grades can help give them something better than an ordinary life. That is before college coaches get involved and pull a Robinson in TN

Hoke just said Barber will be here today or Sunday. I'm assuming he's good to go, just a matter of when he shows.

He then hinted that he expects King and Marshall to be here "sooner than later"
