Just finished up this read and enjoyed it. The Saban used rating system was pretty interesting.

At times, he rambled, but alot of praise from someone who is not normally an SEC homer.

Alot of Bama, LSU, UGA and Tenn talk...thoughts from anyone else?

It's another distraction for how poor standard of living is in the south.

Also the SEC can thank Lord Saban for birthing LSU, and reawakening Alabama. The Great lord Saban giveth, and he Taketh away.

1.) We are the best team in the SEC to not have won a BCSNC
2.) To sell copies. Here is the other cover:

I would argue the SEC was always a football Goliath but it took the Oklahoma / Georgia suit to crash the glass ceiling of the NCAA monopoly. The final block may have been the Vols winning the first BCS MNC followed by the split MNC with LSU and cemented with Florida getting in to play Ohio State.

To heck with that, how did Chizik manage to get a spot on the cover.

Three coaches on the cover, Bear Bryant, Nick Saban, Gene Chizik.

One of these things is not like the other, one of these things just doesn't belong!

Cam, fine sure whatever, but crop duffus out. Meyer should be on it if anyone, only other coach besides Saban with multiple nattys.

Oh and the SEC has always been the best conference. It just didn't get national respect and was roped into the Sugar Bowl every year, leaving it at the mercy of the pollsters, which by in large always have had an anti-SEC bias.

There was a 12 year gap between Georgia's title in 1980 and Alabama's in 1992. 92 was the first year of the Boal Coalition, which started the whole road towards the BCS and eventually a playoff.

It's not a coincidence that's whent he SEC began cleaning up titles.
