Which road trip should I take? Arky or Mizzou

Alright people, I can take one flying road trip this year -- which means Arkansas or Missouri. I've never been to either.
I'm middle aged and married, so the student party scene is not what I'm looking for (not that I don't miss those days). Looking for a good game experience, friendly people who will invite me and my wife to their tailgate, and something else to do to make the trip more than just football.
Sell me on why I should pick one over the other.
Suggestions on where to fly into, where to stay (expensive -- I am married and she ain't staying in no fleabag), and side trips are appreciated. I will have a car.

I'm partial to Columbia MO and places that are possible to reach via major highways so I'd say Mizzou.
You can fly into Columbia directly but I'd recommend flying into KC or STL instead and doing some touristy things there before or afterwards

Arkansas easily, since this our last meeting for 6+ years.
You can travel to Mizzou every other year.

Well since you won't be playing Arkansas very often after next season, come to Fayetteville.
Something really unique to see while in town is Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, 20 minutes north in Bentonville.
The college towns themselves are comparable as far as good food and places to get a beer.
I think our city is more unique due to the setting in the Ozarks, mountain views, etc.
Best downtown Fayetteville hotel is The Chancellor. Lots of business-traveler hotels north in Benton County.
Flights into XNA can be pricey. TUL is another option, a bit of a drive, though.

Fayetteville is a cool town if you like redneck hipsters. It has some cool bars and its a pretty area... It is hard to get too though, especially from the east.

Because Fayetteville isn't on the interstate system....

I agree with this. Plus Columbia has some great things to do itself, and great places to eat and stay. You'd really enjoy your time here! Our fans are friendly and inviting, so you more than likely wouldn't have problems with us, I always like to invite the opposing teams fans to my tailgate. And then hope you slowly die once we get into the stadium

I figure lots of places are hard to reach if your primary form of transportation is a pirogue.

I am officially inviting you to my tailgate. We will have a few other Cock fans that hung out with us 2 years ago and had a blast.

I just realized the USC @ Mizzou game is in October. If you and the wife enjoy drinking I'd recommend doing Octoberfest in Hermann MO the weekend you do the game.
While you are in Columbia MO? Check out the Blue Note. If you like late night beer and food hit up Addison's. If you like home made beer hit up the Flat Branch. If you want to spend more and enjoy a better meal do the Sycamore or CC's instead.
Obvious things to do in STL include the Zoo, Cardinals games, Blues Games, Rams Games, Art Museum, concerts, Grant's Farm, Six Flags etc.
I will say regarding the fans in Arkansas vs the fans at Mizzou. The fans at Arkansas are better hard core football fans but they are trashier. The fans at Mizzou are nicer, less trashy people in general but not as off the charts obsessed with football (as say UGA, USC, Arky, etc). If you love the die hard SEC football experience I think Arkansas is a better choice. If you want to do more things other than the game then I'd recommend Mizzou.

Makes sense, besides you can say you have been to Fayettenam and you can drive the BP scenic route on a motorcycle.

Frankly, would love to have you come to Columbia. But I can't argue the point about it being 6 years before you play Arky again. Assuming you haven't been to Arky before, I would probably catch that one if it were me, knowing I could hit Columbia MO in a couple of years if I want.

Mizzou because they are probably going to tuck tail and run from the SEC soon.

Leaning towards Arkansas trip so far. It would be cool to be in the first contingent of USC fans to visit CoMo, but checking Arky off the list looks like the plan.
