There's another side to every story, but man there are some sick people out there.

A 91-year-old man wants to stop his daughter from evicting him from the home he built 56 years ago in Zaleski, Ohio, a small community south of Columbus.
quote:
Early this year, his daughter and her husband sent Potter an eviction notice, saying they had terminated his "existing lease." An eviction hearing will take place on June 12, during which the judge will have no choice but to evict Potter, Fraley told ABC News.
When asked how he feels about being evicted by his daughter and son-in-law, Potter was at a loss for words.
"I just cannot believe my daughter would ever do anything like that to me," he said.

The moral of the story: don't be a dumbass - don't give your house to your children.

Sounds like the daughter wanted him to be in a nursing home and he refused so she evicted him to give him no choice.
That said, it is fricked up to put the deed in your name like that and to evict your own father.

Am I the only one who sees the daughter's side in this one?

This why you have a will folks.
That daughter is a sorry SOB, and its disgusting that she would even try to steal her fathers prosperity.

Yes I did. And no, he didn't give her the property per se, but he did give her power of attorney when he seems to have full control of his faculties. So why the hell would he do that?

Yeah I hope that count is catching hell right now. Wonder if any redditors are spearheading this.
On a brighter note, the granddaughter has already raised over 125k on her website that was linked in the ABC article.
