Offense

OL -- Evan Mathis (Alabama) Eagles.
OL -- Chance Warmack (Alabama) Titans.
OL -- Stephen Peterman (LSU) Jets.
OL -- Andrew Whitworth (LSU) Bengals.
OL -- Andre Smith (Alabama) Bengals.
QB -- Matt Flynn (LSU) Raiders.
RB -- Trent Richardson (Alabama) Browns.
RB -- Stevan Ridley (LSU) Patriots.
WR -- Julio Jones (Alabama) Falcons.
WR -- Dwayne Bowe (LSU) Chiefs.
WR -- Brandon LaFell (LSU) Panthers.

I'm reading this : LINK

I agree with his offense, but would we maybe be a better 34 Defense? Yeah Glenn isn't as good as a 34 End, but playing Dorsey, Dareus, and Kyle Williams gives us our best DL.

DE - Glenn Dorsey
NT - Marcell Dareus or Kyle Williams
DE - Kyle Williams or Marcell Dareus
Rush Backer - Mark Anderson
Inside Linebacker - DeMeco Ryans
Insider Linebacker - Perry Riley
Rush Backer - KeKe Mingo
CB - Kareem Jackson
CB - Patrick Peterson
S - Mark Barron
S - LaRon Landry

The secondary would be solid. PP7 is a top five corner, Kareem is probably top 15. Barron is a good SS, Landry can still put out a Pro Bowl season.

The DL would be pretty good, and then obviously depth with guys like Brandon Deaderick and Michael Brockers. Hightower proves ILB and Rush Backer depth.

The starting LB Unit would be pretty solid right away, we don't know how Mingo will translate to the NFL, but Anderson could be a good Rush LB, and Ryans is a beast. Riley is coming off of a good season.

On offense Flynn would be a more than solid QB, Ridley and Richardson sharing carries would be deadly, and DAT OL. Mathis, Warmack, Smith, Peterman, Whitworth, daaaamn. Then Julio as our number one WR, and Bowe makes sure teams can't just cover Julio. Then LaFell is a solid third option.

I just noticed a TE wasn't listed, who would we use?

That team, depending on how the depth looked, could be solid. I don't know that we'd make the playoffs, but we'd put up a fight with a lot of teams.

Kareem Jackson plays more snaps than Richard Sherman.

Gives up less combined TDs and first downs.

If you legit think Kareem Jackson is a top 15 CB in the NFL you are fricking high. Trust me, I wish he was

Well to be fair I didn't give it any thought, just threw out a number.

Can you name 14 better CBs? He's good if anything, whether that's top 15, top 25, or whatever, I don't really care.

That's a good question. I think they could be a solid team.
I think they could challenge for a playoff bid on a yearly basis, though a lot would depend on the division. I think it would be a better question in a couple years, when we know more about the players from 2011 teams.
The downside is we would be better suited at running the ball, and playing defense, which no longer is the way to win in the NFL. Throw every down and go with big play and stupid defensive penalties almost work better now.

Kareem saved his job this year. He's not a top 15 corner.

He's improved but I'd say he's average to above average. Playing across from Jonathan Joseph certainly helps. I can name many CBs better than him. I'm not going to waste my time

Solid OP (we need a fap emoticon)

Exclusively LSU/UA players that are already experienced? Be a solid club.

BTW, I'm really hoping Minter will become someone that would be considered on that ILB list.

Yeah, but we could probably throw it around pretty well. Flynn has potential, and Julio and Bowe would give him good targets. LaFell isn't bad.

Then Richardson (and Ridley? Don't remember how he did as a pass catcher) out of the back field. Plus a solid OL in front of him to keep him upright.

Same. I really like Minter. Of course I'd rather see Nico blow up, but he's not going to. He'll do his job well, but he won't be as good as Ryans is at getting so many tackles without being a consistent third down player.

Minter turned out to be the stud of that club. If all the players played as hard as he, would have been a better year. Really proud of that young man, that he represented the P&G.
