It seems he hasn't got much pub yet. I have a feeling he is going to go off this year. IMHO he will be a huge part of our success this year and will end up being a star. Really liked the way he ran the ball in the limited amount of touches he got last season.

Him and TJ may turn out to be the best same year RB's we've signed.

I like Drake but it is going to be hard to top the TR/Lacy LOIs.

Yeah maybe a little bit but I've just got a feeling about this and think he was overshadowed by TJ and people are going to surprised at his talents.

Definitely will be a tough task. I think it is easy to see that TJ> than Lacey whether he can surpass TRich IDK. I do think Drake can surpass Lacey but not TRich. So

TJ&KD > Lacey but both < TRich with an outside chance TJ surpasses TRich. This year will tell a lot on this question.

The RB talent we have had the past few years is fuxkin sick and doesn't appear to be slowing down.

Shall see. Last yr was Bama's most productive rushing season since Saban has been at Bama. Since he's been here, our rushing and rushing TD's and top 2 rushers rank:

1. 2012 3185 yds 37 TD's Lacy & Yeldon
2. 2009 3011 yds 31 TD's Ingram and Richardson
3. 2011 2788 yds 34 TD's Richardson and Lacy
4. 2008 2585 yds 32 TD's Coffee and Ingram
5. 2010 2378 yds 30 TD's Ingram and Richardson
6. 2007 1940 yds 19 TD's Grant and Coffee

Well the OLine has a lot to do with the production and I suspect we'll see a decline in rushing this year but an increase in passing due to the skill set of the QB & WRs

Fowler = hurt and there's no way to know how he'll perform after his injury.

Drake has much more explosive ability and speed. Fowler has power and a decent speed to size ratio, but Drake is a better RB.

50% Fowler > Drake

I won't be surprised if Drake had a good year, I'd just rather Fowler have it.

That's utterly laughable and is not even remotely close to a reasonable comparison. The only thing Fowler has over Drake is his size. He would be better as strictly a FB or maybe TE.

Then you go on to read the rest of my post and realize...wait, nevermind, you didn't finish reading it.

I read the rest it just wasn't something that was i disagreed with so no need to expand on when the major flaw was saying that 50% fowler > Drake.

It's obvious now that you really like Fowler; I like him as well and think he would be a great full back in the I formation, which we were running prior to his injury. I just don't see him as a great RB or even have the potential to be one, Especially after his injury.

I hope he can do great things for us this year but once again, IMO, Drake has the skill set to be a great Tail Back for us and will be an awesome reliever for TJ.

I don't deny Drake's skill, I just rather see Fowler have the big year. I expect him as a FB in the I, an H-Back at times, and to see snaps at RB. I don't have any idea how the RB lineup will shake up behind Yeldon, but I'm starting to think the second back will have more of a Ingram 2008, Richardson 2009, and Lacy 2011 role. Plenty of carries, but it won't be as close as Yeldon/Lacy was. I think part of that is due to the possibility of us passing a bit more (maybe not a whole lot more, but I think with the talent AJ is and the talent he has to throw to, it's unfair to them if AJ doesn't get at least 350 pass attempts) and Yeldon, right now, seemingly being more than just a little bit better than whoever is behind him. I don't think the OL drop off is gonna be as big as some people think in terms of pass pro, but in run blocking it hurts to lose Warmack, Jones, and Fluker. Plus BMW was basically a third Tackle.

That said, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Yeldon getting say 15ish attempts a game, and then Drake, Fowler, and Henry all get around 5 a game as the second back. I could see Fowler getting a lot of short yardage carries to move the sticks or get TDs, and that's not saying Yeldon can't run with power, it's more like saying Fowler is better at it than TJ.

Then that is what you should have said about Fowler. You like him better; not that he is twice the back Drake is right now.

Well, technically, he IS twice the back Drake is...and twice the back Yeldon is....

Full back. Full.

Half back. Half.

2 Halves give you a Full, so Fowler is indeed twice the back Drake is.

Drake will be transferring from Alabama after Henry, Tenpenny, Kamara move ahead of him.
