He does run a lot like Ballard.
He is not a blazer but runs hard. Needs to learn how to carry the rock though or it will be on the ground a bunch.

I don't have to. I've coached against him, watched 4 full game films of him, and watched him play when I wasn't coaching.

And you don't think the kid is a good player? He had 1,400 yds in 9 games not too bad IMO.

I think he could turn out to be very good -- I just don't like taking him this early with the amount of borderline elite RB talent that we've appeared to have a good chance with this year.
This guy wasn't about to go off the board to someone else, and we were his only offer thusfar = no real reason to take him this early IMO. Same way I felt about a handful of our commits last year, but it's magnified this year with so few apparent slots open...
