Watched a Basil Shabazz video linked from tDynasty board and a Ronnie Wingo Jr. HS highlight vid was on the queue. I still can't understand how you can be that big 6-3 230, that fast 4.46-4.49 pro day 40's. LINK

And be so ineffective and shy away from contact like he did. I appreciate his efforts but I just hoped for so much more from a guy that looked like an Eddie George type player. Just 1/2 of EG's production would've been a decent career.

I guess I'm saying Missouri puts out the softest football players in the SEC. Any other state close to that powder puff league they have up there?

I'd say Tennessee. They have a surprisingly weak level of talent every year considering the population.

No offense.

You know when someone says "no offense" it's gonna offend someone.

The tpos is very strong in FL, so it's definitely not the sunshine state.

Playing style, not #'s wise. Patrick Willis is from Tennessee. You going to call him soft?

In his defense, Ronnie Wingo is the softest SEC RB I've ever seen. Tissue soft.

Apparently going up against the likes of Chaminade and CBC doesn't prepare you for the SEC.

South Carolina athletes are prized and valued for their extremely athletic gene structure and their overtly aggressive nature.

Can't be South Carolina.

Is it just me, or does it seems that the college teams that rely on Texas recruits seem to be a little soft for the most part? Now that might be more of a result of the conferences those teams play in, more than the recruits. But those Big 12 teams sure seem soft at times.

Now before the Aggies go off on me, I realize that you beat Bama and were playing pretty good ball at the end of the year, so it probably has more to do with the conferences than the recruits. But I've always wondered if kids that come out of Georgia & Florida are a bit "tougher" than kids coming out of Texas.

Putting all the "never won the SEC" stuff aside... Arkansas clearly produces non-soft players at the highest level of the college game.

Big XII has turned into a version of 7 on 7. QBs and WRs are exceptional and it causes the "grunts" to suffer due to style. This extends to TX players now. Best athletes getting cherry picked for those positions.

You also have defenses going smaller and more athletic to keep burners on burners. This leads to trouble when a Big XII teamgets down; they have a harder time coming back if you can shut down the pass.

Traditionally TX has put out brutes and men amongst boys but the speed demanded now has done damage to the less sexy positions.

I strongly believe the style of SEC ball helped us last year vs the track meets of our former conference.

Please for the love of god post the link.

Would've been talked about as one of the greatest athletes of all time if not for injuries and grades.

It's interesting that you can replace a coach and the toughness factor does a 180. That is what Sumlin brought us.

I would agree with this.
