I could live with that, good young team with pieces. Missing a star QB, AJ could come in and succeed with what should be a great D, a solid line, and a good RB.

He is a winner but I can't see that. Would be great to see though.

I see it. I don't really see why he wouldn't go that early. Him being a game manager is a myth.

Well, I could see why he wouldn't be top five or top ten, but he's good enough to be a first round draft pick.

No I haven't thought of him as a game manager since the 2011 Nc game, but he doesn't appear to have the arm.strength to sling it like they do in the NFL under the current high octane offenses. I am not very familiar with Detroit but I thought they were a fairly pass happy offense as compared to team's that use the run game to establish passing success for.the qb.

Well I know its early but Manziel at #2 is a joke. I think the kid has a little sophmore slump a bit. Plus once they prod and prck him all season like they did Matt Barkley his stock will drop big time. Great college player but I dont see how his skills translate to the NFL

AJ to the Browns would be nice but I dont see AJ going that high. I think he could be a pretty decent starter in the NFL.

Seems everyone is in love with Bridgewater...havent seen many of his games but I will surely tune in to Louisville this season to check him out

I can see him going in the middle of the 1st round but not top 5. The guy has come a long way and has shown he can make big time throws but I don't think he'll get taken that early.

I'd love to see it though.

I think Trey would have the weirdest boner if this happened.

If the Browns take a QB next year they are going to trade up to get him. Doubt that would be AJ.

Care to speculate who you think it would be?

No clue. Whoever is going to be the first or second qb taken. Hopefully not Manziel, but Chud wants to run the same offense he ran with Cam.

ETA: Bridgewater possibly

I just want to see him go in the 1st round to see so many rantards eat crow over it. That and to see him do well, of course.

If AJ goes to the Browns w/the 5th pick, then their owner is huffing the fumes in addition to not paying out rebates on gas.

They also have Cyrus going 19th, I'd be shocked if he isn't top 10.

Cyrus at 19 would be a steal.

Yeah, I'd swap where they have AJ and Cyrus

I'm not convinced AJ is as good as he looks while playing for Bama.

I think on a lesser team he wouldn't be thought of as a first or second day draft pick. That's not to say he isn't good, I think he's the best we have had in a long time, but he bennfits more from playing for Alabama than Alabama bennfits from him. If that makes sense.

So I know this is a questionable line of logic to follow but if you put AJ say on Stanford or Wisconsin, does he have top 5 draft hype going into his redshirt senior year?

At Stanford absolutely, at Wisconsin I think he would have the same problems he has here in regards to perception.
