OHHHH -- so you just want to look at trivial things because you don't like what the measurables tell you. Got it.

Ok... Name some better running backs from MS than the New Orleans Saints all-time leading rusher. Has a State RB ever even consistently started in the league?

Why are you talking about the NFL? This entire discussion has been about how guys performed as collegiate running backs.

Oh, so we should rank all professionals by how they did in school with no consideration as to whether they were ever really worth a shite in the real world?

Got it.

Because when I think of elite RBs, I think of Norwood, Boobie, and J.J. fricking Johnson.

Get the frick out of here with that shite. They were good college RBs and shitty pro RBs. Nothing elite about them.

And Justin Griffith played FB in the NFL. Hell, BenJarvus Green-Ellis has had a more productive career than those guys combined and he can't even move laterally.

Good. Glad we understand each other.

In what the world was Norwood a shitty pro RB? You must have missed him dominating despite spending practically his entire career injured -- where he's still 1.1 ypc better than Deuce was.

And who was even talking about pro football? No one. I said that "it's been over 20 years since MSU didn't have a drafted pro RB on campus" to which Sorantable brought up Deuce as some kind of collegiate phenom -- an argument quickly dispatched statistically. You fools devolved it into a pro debate because you knew the college argument was slaughtered. What the frick does success level in the NFL have to do with MSU and OM and success in college? Nothing.

Sorry the truth hurt your feelings.

He 'dominated' for a career total of just over 2,000 yards in 4 seasons, while never once being the #1 RB.

#elite

ETA: You don't call players who had good college careers elite RBs, is my point. Norwood and Boobie were good (not elite) college RBs. I haven't mentioned Deuce once.
