Some of you are really going to the extreme when describing Florida State. They were 12-2 last season, 9-4 in 2011, and 10-4 in 2010.

They aren't Mississippi State or Kentucky for crying out loud.

What are the damages in this case? He has not received scholly money yet. Many contracts are torn up before work/service has been provided without a penalty. I would have no problem if FSU said no and MT had to sit out. That's the rules. I do think FSU should do right by the kid and release him.

Exactly. That's why I see this as a non issue. If Jimbo and Co can't save him, then just cut him loose and move on. FSU will still have a great class coming in and a solid team this fall. You don't this to drag out more than it has to.

I disagree with this part when it comes to USC and Lame Kitten.

It is a very black and white situation, kid wanted to go to one school and his mom wouldn't let him. He was rumored early in the process to even be a Bama lean and a Bama fan growing up but his Mom nixed that rather quickly and despite setting up numerous visits and trips he never was allowed to come, and days leading up to NSD sounds like his mom pushed him to choose FSU

Now the truth comes out and it isn't where he wants to be

If there really is tampering going on with Kiffin and Orgeron, it needs to be reported. The world is a better place when they aren't successful.

Mom has been gone a couple weeks and there are some nasty rumors he's visited made several calls etc

I'm assuming he was surprised by him signing with FSU, but if you remember he did the same shite to guys who signed with Tennessee after he left for USCw and tried to get them to not enroll etc and come to LA

First off, an LOI is not just a worthless piece of paper. Otherwise, there would be absolutely no point in signing one. Jimbo can and will make MT sit for a year. There is no indication he's going to let him off (if it comes down to that).

MT was at the FSU spring game a few weeks, talking to everyone about how much he loves FSU and who his roommate is going to be. There were rumors before the spring game that he wanted out, but something happened in between the spring game and now that may be fishy (Kiffin - some are saying Miami may have also stepped into the picture). Either way, FSU will be meeting with him and his family to iron everything out. I expect MT to be in the G&G next year.
