I was hoping for it, but didn't expect it. After Friday night I thought, "no way." But somehow they pulled-it-off in one of the toughest places to play and against maybe the best team in the country, this year, on the road.
It was a huge series win, no doubt about it. LSU baseball fans are some of the classiest around.

We just haven't played our best ball starting with the Arkansas series. Last three weekends have all been similar.

Our new coach is fine. He's probably been to the CWS more than any coach in American right now. I think four times with UNC and three times with us. The problem was we have no been healthy. This was the first series in awhile that we've had everybody healthy - so we were hoping for this possibility, but I was not expecting it quite honestly.
It's all for naught if we do not take care of Vandy next weekend.

It's not SEC fans but LSU and USC fans. I don't think there are 2 fanbases on here that get along better.
Maybe it helps that we don't play each other in football much, but the main thing is we both respect the hell out of each others baseball teams.
I do love how almost all Arky baseball flame thread against LSU have USC fans in it, basically defending us.

Probably b/c we've "been there before." It's not like we haven't had success before and troll into threads like y'all's neighbors to the north.

Few things didn't roll our way today. Got off to a bad start just barely missing some balls.
Only thing I wish we would have done better would be worker your starter a little more. 5th inning he was still in the 50 range on pitches. Your pitching definitely took advantage of our aggressive hitters.
Also your fielding was perfect today. LF and CF had some great plays on some balls. Most times those would have been hits and they made some of the catches look easy.
USC has a very good team this year. The SEC Tournament is gonna be tough.

Pitcher is just a freshman, but he's been good most of the season. I think he is 7-2 as of today. He's definitely a gamer.
I thought it was gonna be worse on y'all in the 1st but your 3rd baseman made a helluva play with the bases juiced.
I was wondering why y'all came to the plate swinging-away, but I am glad you did. I am not sure there were three first pitches taken by the LSU batters all game?

I didn't expect to get the series win and quite frankly, I was very afraid of getting swept.
the good thing is that we are finally healthy and hopefully we can keep it going against Vandy next weekend.
