Bama will still have the best defense in the conference. What will hurt them is losing 4/5 of their OL. Those guys were largely responsible for Lacy/Yeldon's success, as well as McCarron's success, giving him all the time in the world to pass, stress free. That is certainly a big factor in McCarron's #1 in all of NCAA efficiency stat.

Um. For the first few games we sucked in pass pro. After that everyone played well, but there was still plenty of pressure coming, they just didn't bang home as often. AJ had time, but it isn't like he had all day, his numbers came from good throws, good decisions, and good reads.

I love how you Bama fans will talk up how awesome your OL is whenever it is questioned, for instance, when the subject of holding is brought up. But whenever someone give your OL credit, and points out how successful they were at being an integral part of your success, you immediately downplay them because they are no longer there.

I heard a stat during draft coverage that Bama was something like 81st in the country in sacks per pass attempt

Yo allbama

Keep this on the down-lo.

LSU rerturns just as much experience on "D" as bama.

Tigers return nine guys in the back seven that TOTALLY SHUT DOWN the tide's base offense. Three more along the D-line that had major PT VS the tide.

LSU returns more on offense than what your mighty tide does. That's to an "O" that put up the most yards EVER against a saban coached bama team.

TIGERS LOADED. Will make for another great game in november.

Fortune had nothing to do with it. You lost 2 games. No one gets a title shot losing 2 games...

It looks like they lost alot all over the field particularly on the lines.anyone think that maybe the strong points on their team have little support?also could that be a factor at Kyle field early on?

Does not matter, they just reload

Maybe Saban will retire one of these days

+1 - Bama kept Nick Saban
-1 - LSU kept Les Miles

Les Miles is a great coach and we've been very successful under him

I suppose you think we're still doing it with Saban's players 9 years in?

I'm not downplaying the loss at OL. That's the biggest blow for sure. I'm in wait-and-see mode. I'm optimistic for sure, because AJ is back, has lots of experience, and the best wide receiving core (arguably) in the country. And one of the most electrifying tailbacks to keep the D honest.

I think we'll be aight.

Both Alabama and LSU will be alright, but it is interesting that with LSU everyone is saying oh we're screwed because of these losses yet we're actually bringing back more starters than Bama and nobody says that about them.
