You can't do Eureka wrong, it's nice just walking around town and going to all the cool little shops.

Restaurant wise, DeVito's and Ermelio's are quite popular. I can also recommend Local Flavor Cafe and The Oasis.

Eureka Springs always cracks me up...interesting blend of hippies, old people, bikers, evangelical christians and gay people. 'Merica!

I know!!! It's like a little of everything, so everyone fits in. I love that it's so laid back like that. Very cool place.

Semi-hijack. Any of you Arkies ever been to the Spring River? Mammoth Springs-Hardy area.

I have a family cabin up there we've had since the 1920's. Go every summer. Love that place.

Yup, ex-gf grandparents live over there, She was given a little cabin on the river too. Was a nice area, people are great. Her Gpa was a pastor so everyone knew her and was super nice, it's her fav. place in the world.

And Eureka.... meh. Cops are too quick to mess with you and it's full of the types that I don't gravitate towards i.e. (gays, hippies, bikers, and evangelicals) I find it about the only overrated thing in Arkansas, but go enjoy yourself, the center of town is pretty cool and you can find some neat stuff. If the passion play is going on while you're there it's worth an evening.

I would go every summer with my family and camp and Many Islands. Once I was old enough my friends and I would go once each summer and camp, those were rowdy.

I'm gonna try and get some of my friends to go up with me this summer. It's just a long drive for most. I love the place.

My immediate family has a cabin an hour outside of Chattanooga (hometown) so we always go up there and get rowdy. But I'm partial to my grandparents cabin in Hardy. Maybe because I only get to a go once a year.

Walk around downtown

One of the mountains you can drive up and there is a place to stop and look out an observation deck. You can see the whole town from up there

Here is a link

Have fun

Eureka Springs:

Best margarita - the Pied Piper (bottom of the Hill). Great place

Best local bar and music - Chelsea's. Best bar in Eureka by far. It's the local secret.

Best shop - Silly Chili Hot Sauce Store (top of the hill). Ask to sample the hottest sauce and allow your friends time to take a photo. Tell the guy at the counter with the sweaty forehead that the "guy from Springfield" sent you. You may get something for free.

Best way to fit in - wear the rainbow flag

- Killz

PS. Have fun! One of our favorite weekend getaways. We're at Table Rock this weekend, so who who knows...

Thanks man!

Super pumped for this hot sauce place.. I'm pretty much obsessed with hot sauce.

I like local secrets, will definitely stop in that bar.

Have a good time at Table Rock dude.

Lotta gays. Also a lotta redneck hippie biker types always willing to share a spliff after dark.

I've smoked more in public in Eureka than I have everywhere else in my whole life combined.

I've been to the Cat House more times when I did smoke reefer on their porch than times I didn't.

I do give Chelsea's a stamp of approval. If Mtn. Sprout is playing it's especially fun.
