I'm a big fan of Manziel and am fond of A&M, especially after watching them spank Alabama for most of that game. But I'm having trouble seeing how you guys will be an elite team after Manziel leaves. Personally, I think you'll see a pretty big drop off like Auburn did with Cam, and Florida did win Tebow.

Convince me otherwise.

Brandon Williams. Remember the name. And Manziel is good, but great coaches (Sumlin) put great QBs in position to succeed. It's not a fluke that LSU's highly rated QBs always bust (since after Flynn). They aren't put in position to succeed.

It's possible. Depends on Davis. He is the future.

We haven't been recruiting elite defensive talent since the late 90's. We are now.

In the last 10 years, I bet we've landed less than 2 defensive players that held a Texas/OU/LSU offer. People love to say that we've always had talent, but it's not entirely the case.

They're recruiting at an elite level. The End.

I think we see a drop off with MANZIEL this year. Just my opinion, I think he's let the fame get to his head a little and hasn't been concentrated on football.

Congrats on your best year ever! Sumlin has been there 1 damn year so the jury is still out.

Good effort on the shite talk but our "bust" qb beat your "great" 0tds-3ints qb.

Well, so is every other SEC west team aside from Arkansas and State.

Their offense couldnt hang with elite defense's like LSU. And thats with Manziel

Unless they find another QB like JFF i expect to see a big drop off after JFF leaves. Not to mention they have a lack luster defense

What about elite defenses like Bama?

And I guess it's safe to assume the defensive talent we're recruiting won't pan out, either. You know, just 'cause.

too* God*

He's coached one year and finished third in the SEC west.

He struck gold with Manziel already being on the team.

Not impressed, yet.

Saban had no fricking clue how to handle JFF and that offense.

Chavis did

No one is trying to impress you. We're just answering your question.

No, but in terms of competing for championships after the phnom is gone, there are 3 other teams in the SEC west who out-recruit you every year.

I think you can start attracting more of the elite Texas talent away from UT to be competitive with the elite of the West once Manziel is gone.
