It sounds like he's one step closer to choosing Alabama this summer.

quote:

“It was one of the most influential visits I’ve had at any school. The more I meet these guys, and any staff really, the more comfortable I become. It becomes less of a recruiting process and more about knowing these guys and becoming lifelong friends along the way,” said Cornwell.

He will visit Tennessee tomorrow.

Neither teams back-up QBs played well yesterday so he would have to feel pretty good about his opportunity both places.

He will be an early enrollee, so he'll have every opportunity to compete for the starting QB job at Alabama next year.

Bateman is going to have a transition from a shotgun offense to playing under center. It is obvious he needs some time to adjust.

And fail.

True freshman QBs in the SEC is a recipe for disaster even if they EE. Bama is in trouble if he starts the first game

I thought Bama's QB production was all scheme, so why would it matter if he was a freshman? Apparently everyone around him does all the work.

quote:

Alabama fans, when you have the most dominating defense and run game in the country for the past 4 years, it takes a lot of pressure off the shoulders of your QB. I am pretty sure my handicapped grandmother could throw for 30 TDs behind your line of 4 future potential first round draft picks and two future first round draft pick RBs complimenting too.

I really like Cornwell too, but he will have to make the transition as well. I don't think he takes 3 snaps from under Center in his videos.

I wish high school teams would go back to running I-formations instead of this spread shite.

Already had it planned fwiw, he is from Ok, so I'm assuming he visited AFTER Bama to cut down on trip cost (he did the same thing last time he visited Bama)

If that makes you feel better about the visit, then so be it :)

There is nothing to get upset about. He is just visiting Tennessee. Very defensive bunch around here.

For a fan of a school that has no interest in Cornwell you sure do like posting in threads about him.
