Describe in depth our QB play? Seems lackluster but who did better/worse, what issues were present, are all our eggs in the Nick Marshall basket?
Rate the following positions and give details for their level of play, if someone stood out and earned starting roles, if a platoon or rotation is needed due to no one stepping up, what players appeared to win starting jobs
RB-
WR-
OLine-
DLine-
LB-
S-
CB-

We're in trouble at QB. I expected a little more from the RB's as well.

Qb race is wide open in my opinion...Wallace actually looked better to me
Rb will be good, Artis-Payne is the real deal, him and mason will be a good duo
OL looks a lot better than last year, made some good blocks, look bigger
WR caught some good passes, Sammie looks good, and bray
TE Fulse is huge, so is uzomah
DL got pretty good pressure, we ran a total of 111 plays so you could see some fatigue, but overall decent play considering no contact on qb
Lb was refreshing to not see holland start with the 1s, glad frost and Casanova got to play and were making the calls, Justin Garrett is going to be a monster
S & DB we are thin at, therezie made some good plays, same with Ryan white, even Trent fisher seemed to know what was going on
Overall, seems like a new team all around, lot of tempo, tackling looks better, speed was good to see

Last years game we scored two TD.
Most impressed with us getting the play in quickly. Only a couple penalties. Lots of intensity, especially in first half. Defense flew to the ball.
CAP is the real deal.
QBs improved, both look better than last year.
The Auburn family showed up, the announced crowd was not inflated. It was packed.

QB - Rough. Neither did a great job making reads, neither did a great job making throws. We're counting on Marshall at this point.
RB - Solid. Tre and CAP played well, Grant sat out with a fever, but I have faith in him too. The running game is not a problem.
WR/TE/HBack - Prosch is still an animal, Parks is gigantic at Hback. At TE, Uzomah blocked well on the perimeter, has wheels for a man his size. Seems like Fulse's hands may have improved some. WR, we have speed. No hands, but we have speed. So there's that. It'll be interesting to see how the freshmen do. For all that we've heard about Denson we didn't see him much in the game. Walkons played a lot due to lack of depth, so hard to read much here. Trovon Reed still has got to work on his hands.
OLine - First team looked pretty good. Kozan is athletic on the pulling sweep play Gus loves so much. Run blocking seemed good. Pass blocking was hard to judge against our Dline. Tunde is not acceptable at backup center. Callahan / Danzey / Diamond have all practiced there, need to get one of them back to it.
DLine - We need Lawson to give us some pass rush. Dee Ford is just about alone out there. It's a mess. Not a lot of pass rush from the tackles, and they weren't overly physical against the run, but who wants to be super-physical in the spring?
LB - Cass and Frost started. Both seemed competent. Frost had trouble lining up early, Cass straightened him out quite authoritatively. Backups aren't stellar. Landrum (I think) in particular looked slow on a Frazier bootleg TD, but it may have been because he didn't want to blindside his QB in a spring game.
S - Garrett looked stellar. Fast, hard hitting, decent coverage. I like it. Whitehead got abused a little in coverage. Still. Mcneal didn't dress, I'm suspicious he's gone for good. Brandon King has to come in and start at SS now. Trent Fisher isn't an SEC safety (no offense, he's a walkon. Better than we could expect.)
CB - Chris Davis got burned a couple times, not sure what's up with that. Holsey looked best of the three in deep coverage, although he spent time at safety too. Mincey is a... physical player. I suspect Dimitri Reese slept with his girlfriend or something, cause when he saw that opportunity to lay him out he was NOT backing down.
Overall, we need safety and QB help, the WRs and DEs could use a boost, but we looked ok-ish. I'll take it.

Our defense had one tough/physical play and the player (Mincy) was ejected for it.
Defense looked like crap with exception of Garrett and a couple others.
Offense- qb's were meh as expected, but the Oline looked good. Wr's and RB's looked solid, but Reed was't good.
Overall, it didn't excite me for next year, but it was just a spring game.

John Mincy, because he knocked the shite out of Dmitri Reese. Lead high with his elbow and shoulder, and the ref said he was targeting or something. He didn't even lead with his head. Looked pretty clean to me.

Mincy got ejected for a head shot on a WR. He was layed out for a while, but walked off under his own power.

Edit: I'd like to see a replay though

People need to keep in mind Wallace still in his true freshman year. He's still developing physically and mentally with being a college qb. He's still got a good bit of upside.

I think the attendance is going to be a positive for the team. That kind of support after last year says something and will hopefully be motivating.
One thing we as AU fans have mastered is circling the wagons when need be.

Let's be honest.. 65% or so of that crowd came because of the trees final rolling

Still football related (primarily) and that many butts in the seats shows support. People could have skipped the game and rolled Toomers and spent the day in downtown if they didn't care about the team or game.

Wasn't helmet to helmet. I saw the replay 5 times.

The quality on this is pathetic, but it's the only replay I've found online.

Good hit IMO. No contact with helmet, led with shoulder. His arm came up a bit as he made contact, but that is a good clean hit IMO.
