Never saw this posted yesterday.

Hunter is having a breakout season and could position himself to be a very high first round MLB pick this June.

quote:

STARKVILLE, Mississippi --- Mississippi State baseball player Hunter Renfroe has been named SEC Player of the Week.
Renfroe, a junior from Crystal Springs, homered in all three games of a weekend sweep of Texas A&M. He now has 13 homers for the season, sharing the top spot in the SEC and tied for second in the country.

Renfroe added a pair of doubles and finished with a 1.357 slugging percentage for the weekend. Half of his 54 hits have gone for extra bases and he now leads the NCAA with a .865 slugging percentage.

Kid is batting .429 on the season 12 doubles, 13 homeruns, 9 steals, 43 RBI. All American numbers IMO.

Hell of a hitter, I remember we intentionally walked him multiple times in our series.

Hard to belive Renfroe came in as a catcher/relief pitcher who could hit 98 on the gun. Glad we found use of that arm in the outfield. I honestly dont think anybody will run on him.
