Starting to see Trufant as the majority favorite on mocks, per Jay Adams. LINK
DE is still a need area but CB seems to be top priority after the Osi signing.

Do not want. CB isnt a position that you want to have to take a chance on.

I see the Falcons drafting more than one CB in this draft but I'm really hoping the 1st rnd pick goes to the best available pass rusher.

If Ogletree or Lacy (yes I know we got SJax) is available I'd draft them. Otherwise, best pass rusher available although we could still resign Abraham at a lower price.

Lotta noise about taking Tank Carradine too...

Resign Abraham at a lower price. Draft Trufant in the first and Latt in the 3rd. Yes I said Latt.

If teams are smart Marcus won't be available in the 3rd round. I like your thinking though. Falcons window is this year with Tony. We need to ball.

Draft picks are so valuable that no one will take that risk in the first two rounds. Could cripple a franchise if his knees don't hold up. His name will start coming up around 4th round

A 2nd acl tear sends major red flags. I don't want to watch every game wondering if his cadaver tendon is gonna break. As good as he is, we need help now.

Just read 33 out of the 38 picks TD has made were seniors. 17 of those were team captains.
I knew he did not roll the dice on baggage guys but DAMN.

We're not starting with just Asante, McClain, and Franks with Thompson as our only CB depth.
McClain is our starting nickel. He didn't play on the outside at all last year. They're not suddenly just going to move him out there.
CB is our biggest priority and we're likely drafting 2 of them. However depth at CB is great in this years draft. We can get a good CB in the 2nd and 3rd. DE talent, on the other hand, is crap this year. Carradine is too big a injury question.
So it's going to blow all your minds when we either select Eifert at 30 if he's still there, or we trade back for additional 2nd and 3rd round picks and double up on CB's and DE's in those 2 rounds.
And think about this... what's going to make the biggest impact with our first pick? A rookie CB? A rookie DE? Or picture an offense with Roddy and Julio outside, SJax in the backfield, and Tony and Eifert both on the inside. How about those match ups? Who gets doubled and who gets left 1 on 1? And oh yeah SJax can catch out of the backfield.
Eifert is 6'6 250 with great hands and runs a 4.6x. Imagine a secondary and LB corps trying to cover those "5" receivers. That's the biggest bang for our buck. With the deep CB talent, we can actually afford to do that and take CBs in the 2nd and 3rd and then take a flier someone like Cornelius Washington in the 4th and hope we get another UGA gem the likes of Geno Atkins. CW has all the physical tools. He blew up the combine.
So my gut tells me we go TE, CB, CB, DE or we trade back for extra picks and go CB, DE in 2nd and CB, DE or LB in 3rd, and then DT, LB, and OL.
We desperately need a return specialist too. We might grab a late RB but I think we're set with SJax, Quizz, Snelling, and Smith. We're not picking one early just to stick him on the PS.

I like the breakdown beef. Trading out of round 1 is a real possibility. Especially if the qbs fall as predicted.

You are right that we need 2 more cbs but any team can. We have the best O in the NFL and need a cover LB and a bit more pass rush That's it.
