He will be on the top RBs in the 2015 class in the state of Alabama. He is out of Vigor High School in Mobile (Prichard).

quote:

"I committed to Alabama on Friday," Flowers said. "I talked to Coach Nick Saban. He told me he is really glad to have me up there now. He told me to do everything to help my team win a state championship now. I basically just told him I was ready to commit."

We lead for DeShaun Davis out of Vigor for this cycle. School must be pretty stacked.

Vigor usually has SEC caliber athletes. It has produced B.J. Scott, Jalston Fowler, and Marvin Shinn over the last few years. It has been an Alabama pipeline for a while. Their longtime head coach, Kerry Stevenson, was hired in February as a support staff member at Alabama.

Some regional analysts think he could be a top five national RB prospect for 2015.

He might not have the hype that Kerryon Johnson will have, but he is getting a lot of love from regional analysts.

Scott was as heavily recruited an athlete as there was in the 2008 cycle. Had he not insisted on playing WR, he probably would have been a solid DB at Alabama. But he fell behind others and that usually spells trouble for playing time when you make a position switch. He was decent for South Alabama after he transferred and got a shot in the Senior Bowl to impress some scouts. I'm sure he'll make a NFL roster somewhere.

I'm sure you believe Tyler Love was SEC caliber, too.

What is your real point here? I'm not trying to argue he was an All-SEC caliber player. I'm arguing that Vigor High School has produced some quality talent over the last few years. Talent that has brought recruiters from around the country to their doorstep.

SEC caliber would pertain to SEC schools recruiting and signing the kid. What happens after four years involves a myriad of variables. But you sound like you would rather argue semantics.

My point is that BJ Scott is not an SEC caliber athlete and your blind homerism is skewing your opinion on this obvious fact.

He got his shot at the Senior Bowl because he's a hometown boy. They throw out a bone or two to those guys.

Homerism over what? I'm talking about VIGOR HIGH SCHOOL for God's sake. What in the Hell is your issue?

Homerism over your boy BJ Scott. Just let go Capstone, he's not SEC caliber. Listen I don't want to derail the thread. My only point was to express my COMPLETE shock over such an outlandish statement.

Carry on.

You have one thick arse skull. This has nothing to do with Alabama. Scott and Love were busts. Plain and simple. But Vigor High has seen several SEC signees over the last few years. And several more sign with C-USA and Sun Belt programs. That is the sole intent of the response to the Vol fan. But you're stuck on my word choice.
