Yep, these coaches that actually evaluate talent for a living are dumbass'.

Coaches who slow play top 50 talents are dumbasses.

58>50? No?

I cannot believe I am actually arguing with someone that thinks 58 is less than 50.

Anyways, you are using 1 site. If you want to base it on all the sites, check out the composite ranking listed in the 247 profile I posted. He is the 130th ranked player in the Nation and 10th OLB. H

Why would I want to base it on all the sites? Most of them are garbage.

I am so upset. UF already has a commitment from 1 of the top LB's in the Nation. Higher "ranked" than Bates, which is what you like to go by.

So you base it on Rivals, who lost all their leaders to 247?

You want to use these services, but do not even know anything about them.

Yes - because it makes sense to only sign one LB cause he's just so awesome. No need to sign others.

Reading comprehension would come in handy here for you.

UF is only signing 2 LB's this year. There's a couple that we must miss on before taking Bates.

It really does not matter what I want. I think Bates is a hell of a talent and would love for him to be in UF's class. My opinion does not mean jack shite though. In UF's coaches eyes, he is not a take right now. Not saying I agree with that, but it is what it is.

He's a take right now. You may have people higher on your board but you are kidding yourself if you believe the coaches would say thanks but no thanks if he said he wanted to commit. That could burn UF in the end if they missed out on the guys in front. You take him and don't turn down a major talent.

It's not like he's a 3* scrub - that's the type of players you can slow play and still get in the end.

Jarvis and Alec are going in the 1st. Is there even a Vol LBer in the draft?

It would be pretty shocking if he ended up anywhere but UT. I think he would probably have gone to UT even if Dooley was still there.

The gators are coming off as bitter. They know they don't have a chance at bates, so some random message board poster begins speculating that muschamp wouldn't accept a commitment.

gatormb has good info and is one of the least homerific posters here IMO. If he says a player isn't a take for UF right now, I believe him.

Besides, if teams never passed on highly ranked prospects then Vonn Bell would be wearing crimson this fall

No - I know Bell's older brother personally and he was pushing Ohio State from the beginning. Both Bama and UT just missed on the kid.

I was half kidding. I don't know the real story but Bama mods were saying that he wasn't a take. Might've gone to OSU anyway

Then I think he said something about wanting to beat Bama after signing with OSU. Could be he felt a little jilted

Not at all. I said Bates is a talent who I would love to have. I do not call the shots at UF though.
