After hearing some of the hard things we've all went through, I thought remembering some better times might be nice.

aside from the obvious of my two kids being born, wedding day (which are fine answers)...

i had a track meet one time where i just ran out of my spikes fast the whole day. never ran like that again. like bob beomon "where did that come from" sort of day... without breaking records or anything.

I was the anchor leg of the sprint relay and got the baton about 30 meters back on the last leg of the sprint relay and passed with about 5 meters to go. got a standing ovation from the crowd as i ran back to warm up for the 100. My coach slapped me on the butt and said i ran a 10.5ish split. and i'm white so that's really impressive

won the 100 over the district favorite.

then on the mile relay i passed the same dude i beat in the 100 on the second curve and gave my anchor leg enough of a head start to win. i got dopiled.

i was always above average, but not great athlete, but for one day I dominated. shallow? yes. but it was friggin awesome.

I feel like anything I would say would be extremely shallow.

I haven't had a really great moment, or a really bad moment.

I'm just cruising.

Here a few aside from the obvious wedding/kids.

1. Chaperoning a group of cheerleaders in London for the millennium celebration, getting to watch the millennium celebration from the Tower bridge, and getting to perform in London's New Year's Day parade.

2. Getting the opportunity to teach cheer camps in Chile.

3. Getting to see the Rebels win the Egg Bowl in 2002 at an outdoor bar in Jamaica on my honeymoon. When we won, my husband took over making drinks at the bar, and I got on the bar and led the fellow patrons in Hotty Toddy.

Don't really know of one. Not married yet and no kids, so those are out.

Graduating from UGA was great, but it also sucked arse because I was no longer a UGA student and had to look for a job. There have been many moments relating to football games that could probably make the list, but that's not really a personal accomplishment.

I've had so many great/awesome/memorable moments in my life. I have truly been blessed. I would say my most proud accomplishment to this point was graduating college. I dug myself a huge hole and it took a lot of hard work just to get out of that, much less succeed and finally graduate. It was something that might have actually made my dad a little more proud than me since he paid for it all and he told me for the first time how proud he was of me that I finally graduated, jut before he passed. I really was just like Van Wilder in college. I was an undergrad for 7 straight years, no semesters off, add in a couple summer school classes.

The two days my kids were born. Life changing, but I never expected to love them as much as I do.

Nothing so far can top my engagement and wedding days.

One of my favorite moments growing up was participating in the national spelling bee in 2002. My little brother and I (both homeschooled, of course ) were the final two standing at the Regional Bee in Biloxi, MS. Went back and forth for about 12 minutes spelling words before he misspelled one. Don't think I've ever seen my mom so proud! I went on to win the state bee and go to nationals, and my little brother was my biggest supporter/fan through the whole process.

The other moment was Texas A&M defeating Nebraska 9-6 in 2010. It was my last semester at A&M, and my little brother's first. He'd already defied the odds and become the first homeschool grad to walk onto the Aggie football team, so as the team gained momentum down the stretch that season, it was really special for us. Asked him the week before if he thought we'd beat the Huskers, and when he said yes (he'd called every game that season), I sold out. Camped out all night in front of the ticket booth and scored front row seats on the track for my then-fiancee and I. Gamenight came, and as long as I'd been going to Aggie games, I'd never been more proud/awed as when they were doing pregame intros and the entire student section had those towels waving.

Even the security guards (the ones in yellow jackets in front of the stands lol) that had been there for decades told me they'd never seen anything like it at Kyle. The game was incredible. I love defense (and my little brother's position was defensive), so the tight game was just perfect for me. When that final gun sounded, myself and the future Mrs. Tbird rushed the field with the students (something that rarely happens at A&M), and randomly found my brother within the melee at midfield.

Got to sing the Aggie War Hymn one more time on Kyle Field with my little brother on one side in full pads and my fiancee on the other. Heart was full--not ashamed to admit I wept some joyous tears that night.

Either crushing one of my former coaches state record... or when my dad was coming to, post open heart surgery, and dropped the gem "now that I'm awake let's find that walrus who took a dump in my mouth" That was the first moment I felt good about his health issues in a while

Nothing tops the birth of my daughter, but outside of that I'm a volunteer firefighter/EMT in a rural area. One morning we get a call for a possible heart attack. We arrive to full cardiac arrest. CPR, defib (several times), haul arse to the ER.

Halfway there he opens his eyes and asks "Where am I?" A week later, he's at the fire station looking to say thanks to the guys that saved his life.

In 2005 while I was serving on board a submarine. I earned my submarine warfare pin aka (Dolphins/Fish). My father was on board for a tiger cruise and he got the pleasure of pinning me prior to surfacing in between the periscopes. After pinning me with a grin on his face he said "isn't there a tradition about this" (If you know my father he has a very dry sense of humor) He then tacks (punches the pins into my chest a tradition now consider hazing) on my warfare pin in front of everybody in control. The Captain with a chuckle then hands the backs of the pins (frogs) so I can put them in. Everyone in control is in shock. Simply because here is a man who just did something that is now consider hazing in front of every supervisor that would have to report him if he were in the Navy. With a grin I pull the pins out of my chest and put the frogs onto the pins so they can no longer travel quite as far into my chest.
