Former Raiders LB Rolando McClain is nearing deal with Ravens. Two sides scheduled to talk today to see if they iron out unresolved issues.

He's going to become Avon Barksdale.

Good luck to him, I hope he gets his act together and stays away from AL.

Perfect fit! Goes to a team with a very strong structure and gives him some former teammates to ease the transition. I would bet he has over 100 tackles this season.

Could be a great deal for him. Get around some Bama boys and have Ozzie at the helm to maybe knock some sense into him.

I posted this on the MSB.

As a Ravens fan, I am excited about this pickup. McClain needs some direction and Harbaugh and others can help him with that. He has a lot of baggage but we need someone at ILB and he is available and he is our best option right now. If he doesnt pan out, oh well, we were better off with him than without him.

This is probably the best landing spot for him. A 34 Defense, Cody and Upshaw can keep him in check, and Ozzie as the GM. Roll Ravens!

Goddamnit. The Saints had enough cap space for that.
