I tried it today on a PC and it effin sux. It might work well with a tablet, but that's about it. Moving across the page with the mouse wheel is weird.

Had to set up my dad a new comp a few weeks ago that has it. Its def different but it's good for his old arse cause everything he uses is right in front of him.

I'll stick with my XP or Unbuntu

I am a early adopter since XP. Never went back an OS tll Windows 8. Just took away too much of 7's goodness.

I get every other version of Windows.

XP, skipped Vista, now have Windows 7.

Everyone who has tried Windows 8 has said same thing. It was built for a tablet.

I'm indifferent. The only thing I hate is no start button.

It's really designed with a touch screen interface in mind.

Go to your desktop. Never go to the Metro UI again. Problem solved (except for the 1% of the time you actually have to use the Metro UI...but it is 1% of the time, not hard to deal with).

I have it on my work laptop. I'm still trying to figure it out, definitely different. It boots up super fast, but the log off/shutdown process takes longer now, and I'm not sure if I like it or not.
Still on the fence....

Yep. I never use the start menu, just live on the desktop. And there are lots of improvements to little things, mainly speed, that make it worth the upgrade.

My impression as well. It's a good OS but they should have come out with separate versions for PC's vs tablets.

The phone OS sucks that's for sure. It's probably good on a tablet
