As you might notice in my sig I have deemed certain schools in our fine conference to belong to the prestigious SEC Country Club. There are many reason why I chose these teams but after a little discussion with a few fellow ranters I noticed that not everyone is happy or agrees with my decisions.(Imagine that ) Anyway I decided to post this here to ask the rest of the SECr who you feel would fit into this group and why they should be included.

Just a few reasons why I have who I have but we can very much expand on this as we go.

• Preppy
• All put emphasis on the Greek population and try to exude the frat persona to the "'nth" degree.
• They have good teams for country club sports.
• Don't primarily deal in military/agricultural/engineering fields but instead focus more to the technical ones like Law/Medical/Accounting/Business
• Flag Ship institutions
• Enjoy and attend Country Clubs events with enthusiasm

These are just a few reasons, there can be more ...

So what say you? Do you agree with my selection, do you not agree? If you feel your team should be included state you case as to why. If you feel there are other qualifications that should be addressed when determining who's in and who's not state you reasons to why that is so.

Let's have an open forum to see hash out who is and who isn't apart of the SEC Country Club.

ETA: The list of schools are as follows:

Alabama
Florida
Georgia
Ole Miss
South Carolina
Vanderbilt

There are very, very few schools in the conference more NF than Florida.

Dumb question. The whole popcorn thing is stupid, too. But to play along, I go UAT, UTK, Vandy, PISS, and UGA.

Not sure what type of weak phone can't see his picture, but you are correct in your evaluation of it.

Where I agree with you they also excel in many of the Country Club sports so it is hard to leave them out of this group.

I agree with all of those except UTK to me IMO these people are mountain folk that tend to fall more into the hunting fishing redneckering crowd than the spend the weekend at the country club then attend the horse race on Sunday with friends one to me.

Are we bragging about public, state schools as some sort of measuring stick of elitism?

Seems a bit shortsighted. But perhaps it's an accomplishment just getting into college in some places.
